Chapter 23

(Kage Battle)

“Akari! What are you doing here?” Hiruzen asked in a surprised tone.

“Kukukuku truly this day couldn’t go any better for me.” Orochimaru suddenly laughed with a smile too wide to be made by any human.

Ignoring the clearly deranged ‘man’, Hashirama and Tobirama focused their attention on me with the former looking at me more closely before turning to Hiruzen who was still surprised by my presence.

“Sarutobi, who is this young man?” Hashirama asked.

Faced with such a question Hiruzen couldn’t help but sigh in resignation at Akari being here before a smile formed on his old face. “Hashirama-sama, Tobirama-sama though I wish it were under better circumstances, allow me to present you Akari Senju, your direct descendant.”

Blinking at such a revelation, Hashirama and Tobirama looked my way again so I offered them a small wave with a small grin on my face.

“Sup. Nice to meet you Great-Grandpa, Great Uncle.” I said in greeting turning to the first then the second Hokages.

“Wahahaha this is great news. One of my daughters must have managed to survive. Even though it’s too late to say this, welcome to the family Akari-kun. You may call me Oji-chan.” Hashirama said with a huge smile on his face looking truly alive for a moment.

Tobirama on the other hand didn’t say anything but he did offer me a small smile while nodding his head at me in greeting.

“Sure Oji-chan, Oji-san.” I agreed immediately without giving it too much thought.

“May I call you Oji-chan and Oji-san as well?” Mei suddenly butted in with a sneaky smile on her face coming closer to my side and hugging my arm between her breasts.

‘Really?’ I thought in a deadpan looking at the redhead from the corner of my eye only getting a teasing look in return but not saying anything to contradict her.

“Hoh, will you look at that? You even seemed to have inherited my love for redheads as well.” Hashirama said taking it in all in stride before giving Mei a cheesy thumbs up. “Yosh, no problem here.”

“Brother, be serio-” Tobirama stopped what he was about to say next as Orochimaru chose that moment to insert two kunai with a seal at the bottom to the back of the brother’s heads making them freeze in place.

“Enough with this pleasantry.” Orochimaru said with a small frown before turning to me and licking his lips. “It’s a pleasssure to meet you again Akari-kun~ Have you given any thought to my proposal?”

“Hmm again? Proposal?” Hiruzen asked in confusion turning to me with questioning eyes. “What does he mean Akari?”

“Kukuku I see, so you didn’t tell him. That was smart on your part Akari-kun.” Orochimaru said with his grin increasing in size sounding pleased I had hid things from Hiruzen.

“My answer will not change Orochimaru. Go fuck yourself, you creepy motherfucker!” I said strongly directing a small glare Orochimaru’s way before turning slightly to Hiruzen. “This is not the time for that, I’ll tell you the full story once everything settles down.”

“Hmm very well.” Hiruzen just nodded with a serious look on his face and focusing his attention back on Orochimaru. “Akari, I hate to ask this of you but can you handle Lord First and Lord Second? I’ll deal with my wayward student.”

“That’s fine with me. It’s the reason I’m here anyways.” I said muttering the last part only being heard by Mei who only raised an eyebrow in curiosity but stayed silent.

“I assume I will be dealing with the Kazekage then.” Mei said calmly finally releasing my arm and getting into position focusing her attention on the silent man just watching our interaction.

“Your assistance is greatly appreciated Mei-dono.” Hiruzen said taking off his Kage robes revealing his battle gear underneath.

“Don’t mention it.” Mei said dismissively then turning her head slightly towards me and giving me a sexy smirk. “Though Akari-kun? I expect to be rewarded for this later~”

“Right.” I muttered with a slight blush growing on my cheeks despite the situation.

“Gghh Akari-kun I-I can no longer control my body. Please stop us.” Hashirama cut in taking a step forward along with Tobirama now looking as if they were alive again if it wasn’t for their eyes.

“They look like how they used to look bow more than ever. Orochimaru…you bastard.” Hiruzen said looking on the verge of crying at seeing his old teachers looking alive again.

“Focus Sensei!” I yelled at the man breaking him from his trance especially as I almost never called him by that title. “That’s not them. No matter how they look right now, they’re nothing more than a sacrificial body covered in dust and dirt made in their image.”

Shaking his head at my words Hiruzen took on a ready stance as a heavy silence hang over the battlefield.

‘Here we go.’ I thought narrowing my eyes watching Hashirama and Tobirama closely. ‘Hopefully I will be enough to handle them without revealing the fact that I’m a clone.’

A moment later the battle began. A battle that will bring many ramifications in the future.

(Outskirts of Konoha)

“S-s-stay awaaay! Get away from me! You will not erase my existence!” A terrified voice screamed at the top of their lungs.

Not breaking stride, I continued walking watching impassively as Gaara knocked out his brother and sister in his attempt to get away from me.

“You’re making too much noise.” I whispered with a frown before activating my EMS knocking him out with a Genjutsu.

Teleporting to their side thanks to the marker I had placed on Gaara the first time we met, I placed Temari and Kankuro in my inventory knowing they would be frozen in time until I released them. Then I leaned down and touched Gaara’s shoulder before teleporting us to one of the many deserted islands in the southern side of the world.

After arriving I pulled up my HUD and bought the Stolen Mother SWP for Gaara that would extract Shukaku from him without the need to kill him and immediately put Gaara in my inventory as well as a mass of chakra materialized in front of me.

Back in our first meeting I had the opportunity to Stamp the kid when I gave him a little scare and had used Toggle to lower all his settings to make him act normal around me. That’s why I wasn’t too surprised at how the kid reacted when he saw me. Even with all loyalty settings turned off, in some primal level the kid still saw me as his superior and in turn that increased his fear of me.

“Wuhaha I’m finally free! I hope you’re ready to die human!” Shukaku yelled in glee breaking me from my thoughts.

“Sorry Shukaku but I really don’t have time to talk things out with you properly. I promise to make it up to you later.” I said with a small frown on my face before looking Shukaku straight in the eyes and bringing him under my control with my EMS causing him to freeze in place.

“Don’t worry too much. Shukaku wouldn’t have listened to you anyway.” Isobu said in a reassuring tone.

“Tsk, it’s going to be a pain in the ass sharing this space with that damn Raccoon.” Kurama said with a scoff not sounding bothered about my actions.

‘Thanks guys.’ I thought in gratitude before getting serious and creating a clone to help me with the sealing.

‘This makes 3.’

(Original, Kamui Dimension)

“So, you’ve awakened the Mangekyō.” Danzo muttered throwing his cane to the side and slowly removing the seals from his right arm. “I knew this day would eventually come but that fool Hiruzen ignored my warnings.”

“Tsk, I don’t want to hear that from the man who desecrated the Uchiha Clan after he stopped Shisui from using Kotoamatsukami on Fugaku to stop the coup d’état from happening in the first place.” I said with a sneer looking pointedly at his right arm with my EMS active not caring about revealing such information as the man would not be leaving here anyways.

Danzo stopped for a moment when he heard that before resuming what he was doing. “I see. So, someone leaked that information. Hiruzen? No, even Hiruzen would not be foolish enough to reveal that knowing the risks. Itachi then.”

I stayed quiet not saying anything at that letting the man come up with his own conclusions and instead clapped my hands immediately going into Sage Mode in preparation for the fight.

“Hmph, how disappointing. To think the greatest traits of the Senju and Uchiha would manifest in a kid like you who doesn’t know the meaning of sacrifice.” Danzo said in disdain with the last seal coming undone from his arm revealing a white arm underneath full of Sharingan eyes.

“I don’t give a fuck about any of that. I don’t care about the Uchiha, the Senju or even the village for that matter.” I exclaimed in anger with the ribcage of my Susanoo appearing around me. “I’m here today because you dared to point your claws at Kushina.”

“Susanoo eh…truly a waste.” Danzo said with a shake of his head ignoring what I said as he started making hand seals.

“I think you’ve said enough Danzo. Let’s end this!” With my anger increasing my Susanoo grew in size taking on a humanoid appearance with four arms.

‘Kushina, Izumi. It took me a while but Danzo is finally going to pay for what he did.’

(Clone 2, Outskirts)

“How many does that make Great Sage?” I asked quietly looking at the 2 piles of corpses from a distance.

“Notice. 8,214 have died. 8,330. 8,405…” The voice of my cute future Ciel said in a robotic tone.

‘8,500 huh? That means that I have already killed 6 thousand people since the attack began adding to the 2 thousand that I killed since arriving in this world.’ I thought blankly inwardly surprised that I felt nothing at the horrific scene in front of me.

This coming from a guy that in his last life the worst thing he did was getting into a few fist fights. Yeah, today I could confirm what I already suspected for a while now. That every day more and more of my past self was slowly disappearing and the scariest thing about it was that I found myself caring very little about it.

‘It’s that perk after all huh?’ I thought looking down at my hand for a moment before dismissing the thought and focusing on what I was sent here to do.

That being getting rid of the piles of corpses.

Clones of the original were currently going around the village dispatching any enemies and teleporting them here under the Invisibility skill that we had obtained from Satou’s Template.

With all the kills we were racking in, Satou’s Template was rapidly growing meaning that our main stats HP, MP, Sta, Str, Vit, Dex, Agi, Int and Mnd would soon be maxed out making our original body stronger than everyone else in this world.

This day after all was not only for evolving into a True Demon Lord but to also gain the strength that Satou had after he acquired the title Conqueror of the Valley of Dragons.

(Clone 1, Kage Battle)

“Suiton: Suishoha (Water Release: Water Colliding Wave)”

Letting the water collide harmlessly off my body thanks to Wild and Environmental Defense, I instead focused on the tree roots attempting to surround me.

Summoning Rimuru’s katana to my hand I engulfed my blade with my Black Flame skill and cut all the tree roots around me turning them to ash before dashing forward and engaging Hashirama in close quarters combat.

‘This is a little disappointing. I didn’t expect they would really be so weak as it was first portrayed in the anime but I guess that just goes to show how powerful they truly are if Orochimaru wasn’t confident he could control them at full strength.’ I thought quickly gaining ground on Hashirama before I was forced to block a kick from Tobirama aimed at my head.

Looking at the other 2 battles happening around me as I switched my body to auto pilot, I saw that while Mei was doing good against Rasa, Hiruzen was proving that time slowly catches up with everybody. ‘Well at least everyone that doesn’t have some kind of immortality.’

The old man while starting out strong, was becoming more tired by the minute and Orochimaru was slowly gaining ground on him. Summoning the old monkey Enma had helped but it was not enough against Orochimaru and the Sword of Kusanagi.

‘Yeah, I think it’s time to bring this battle to a close.’ I thought before going through a few hand seals in less than a second and ending on the Snake seal.

“Mokuton: Jukai Kotan (Wood Release: Nativity of a World of Trees).”

Unlike Hashirama’s from before, huge trees sprouted from the ground instantly covering almost every inch of the limited space we were fighting in, inside the Shishienjin (Four Violet Flames Formation). But most importantly, the trees were now preventing anyone from outside from seeing what was happening inside the barrier.

My technique had also accomplished one other thing. Momentarily immobilizing the Senju brothers, Rasa and Orochimaru.

“Mei, Sensei! Now’s your chance!” I yelled making sure I was heard by the two before quickly appearing by Tobirama and Hashirama’s side and cutting them down the middle with my katana turning them to ash. Then as they were regenerating, I pulled out a big scroll from my inventory and began sealing them with the Cloth Binding Technique.

“Now for Rasa.” I whispered storing Hashirama and Tobirama in my inventory and teleporting to the kunai held by Mei appearing by her side just as she finished using her Futton: Komu no Jutsu (Boil Release: Skilled Mist Technique).

(Kage Battle, Mei POV)

Mei found herself having little trouble against the Kazekage due to the fact that his gold dust was practically useless against her water release turning all his sand wet and more importantly too heavy for the man to properly use.

‘I must hurry and finish my battle here so I can go help Akari-kun. Who knows what he must be feeling inside being forced to fight his family.’ Mei thought in a worried tone launching another Water Dragon at her opponent finally rendering all of his sand useless.

“Mei, Sensei! Now’s your chance!”

Mei blinked hearing Akari’s voice before huge trees sprouted all around her. Getting slightly worried about being trapped, Mei was surprised when the trees maneuvered around her as if avoiding her and instead surrounded her opponent catching him by surprise.

‘I see. So that’s what he meant.’ Mei thought in realization bringing her hands into the horse seal and releasing one of her deadlier techniques.

“Futton: Komu no Jutsu!”

From her mouth a cloud of acidic mist was released that surrounded her opponent only to panic a second later when she saw Akari appear at her side and immediately canceling her jutsu.

“Akari-kun! Please back away immediately before you melt.” Mei exclaimed frantically trying to decrease the pH level of the mist to make it safer.

(Clone 1 POV)

“It’s alright Mei. Your technique doesn’t really have any effect on me.” I reassured her placing my hand on her shoulder seeing a notification appear in the bottom left-hand corner of my screen.

Acquired Skill: Acid Resistance

“A-Are you sure?” Mei asked worriedly scanning my whole body to see if I was telling the truth and relaxing a moment later when she noticed that not even my clothes were melting.

“Yep, now let me take care of the Kazekage before we go deal with Orochimaru.” I said walking forward ignoring the deadly mist around me until coming to a stop in front of a golden sphere with Rasa hiding inside.

Activating my EMS, I closed my right eye for a moment before opening it again. “Amaterasu!”

It only took a few moments before the black flames ate through the gold dust and reached Rasa within.

“AAAAAHHHH!” An agonizing scream was heard from Rasa with his defense disappearing a moment later showing the man trying frantically to put out the flames.

Straining my left eye now I willed the black flames to recede leaving the unconscious burned form of the Kazekage behind. Leaning down I willed the Stamp to appear and nonchalantly Stamped him before also storing him in my inventory.

“HOKAGE-DONO!”

Looking back at the sudden shout coming from Mei, I was treated to the sight of the third Hokage being impaled by the Kusanagi in the back while he held onto Orochimaru who for some reason couldn’t move and had a fearful look on his face.

‘So, he’s already used the Shiki Fujin (Dead Demon Consuming Seal) huh?’ I thought unconcerned at such a sight and slowly made my way to them.

(Kage Battle, Hiruzen POV 5 Min Ago)

There was a time when Hiruzen was called the God of Shinobi, a time when he was able to fight his old students in their prime and still come out on top. While he couldn’t say the same for his last pupil, the point was that Orochimaru even as strong as he was, shouldn’t be giving him this much trouble.

Alas, time was the greatest enemy of all and now Hiruzen found himself on the defensive just barely keeping his old student from taking his life.

Wanting to change the flow of the battle, Hiruzen decided to summon his old friend Enma who had been with him for many battles and together they had been able to push Orochimaru for a while.

It was not to be however and Hiruzen now found himself on his back on the verge of passing out.

“Are you okay, Sensei? Please hang in there.” Orochimaru mocked him while leaning forward on his sword. “It seems you’re out of breath. You’ve gotten old, haven’t you?”

Before Orochimaru could mock him any longer, huge tree roots sprouted around them managing to trap and entangle Orochimaru while leaving Hiruzen untouched.

“Mei, Sensei! Now’s your chance!”

‘Akari-kun…’ Hiruzen thought feeling renewed strength enter his body at the thought of his last student and slowly stood up again.

‘That’s right. Even if I die today, Konoha will be in good hands with the next generation. The least I could do is take my biggest regret with me to the grave.’

With renewed strength and determination Hiruzen quickly went through a set of hand seals. “Shiki Fujin!”

Seeing the figure of the Shinigami appear behind him Hiruzen felt a small shiver run down his spine. ‘So, this is what Minato saw that day.’ Shaking his head Hiruzen was quick to appear before his student and hold his arms in a tight grip preventing him from weaving any hand seals.

“It’s over Orochimaru. Let me show you a jutsu that even you don’t know.” Hiruzen said before grunting as he felt the Shinigami’s hand appear out of his stomach and reach towards Orochimaru.

“What are you talking about, you old dotard! I won’t let you do as you like!” Orochimaru exclaimed in anger before moving his index and middle fingers in a grabbing motion.

Knowing what was about to happen Hiruzen remained in place even as the sword of Kusanagi pierced some of his organs making him grimace in pain. Thanks to Enma who had reverted back to his original form, Hiruzen had avoided being pierced in the heart and dying before he could accomplish anything.

“HOKAGE-DONO!”

From the corner of his eyes Hiruzen saw the figure of Mei Terumi rapidly approaching his location with Akari slowly trailing behind her letting him know that they had dealt with their opponents.

‘Good, now I just have to deal with mine.’

“S-stay back Mei-dono, Akari-kun. It is too l-late for me ‘cough’ ‘cough’.” Hiruzen said before going to a small coughing fit.

“Shiki Fujin huh?”

Hearing the voice of Akari Hiruzen looked at him from the corner of his eye only to blink in shock when he saw a pair of Mangekyō Sharingan staring back at him.

‘When did he-’ Hiruzen was unable to finish his thought as he felt his mind go dark for a moment before finding himself alone in a cliff overlooking the ocean with the sun shining in the sky. ‘Genjutsu?’

“Over here Sensei.”

Turning to the voice Hiruzen caught Akari standing at the cliff’s edge looking back at him with a sad look on his eyes.

“Fancy a small chat before you die?”
