Chapter 38

(Takigakure, Two Days Later)

“Is there a reason why you’re taking your time with the Nanabi Jinchuuriki (Seven-Tails) when you immediately took down the others?”

Turning to Konan as we looked down at the Village Hidden by a Waterfall from up in the sky I answered. “If I’m being brutally honest, I just didn’t care about Roshi, Han or Utakata nor did I care to get know them.” I shrugged looking down again at a certain house feeling Chomei’s chakra from within.

“To me, they were just complete strangers so I ended the battle quickly. Fuu on the other hand, is someone I want to give a second and someone I want to join me.”

I heard a small snort being released by the woman but I ignored it. “And the fact that she’s a woman has nothing to do with your decision?” Konan asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Maybe a little.” I admitted with another shrug. “There’s also the part where she is my age and would be the only one, I get along with the most.”

“Haah I don’t care. How much longer are we going to keep spying on her?” Giving up with that line of questioning Konan shook her head and focused below us again.

“Just waiting until she’s alone is all.”

And just after I finished saying that I noticed Fū retreat inside the house giving me an opportunity. “Which is apparently now. Alright Konan wait here, I’ll be back in a few.”

“Very well.”

A moment later I disappeared from my spot next to her and reappeared inside a modestly decorated room spotting Fū by the small kitchen cooking something. With a snap of my fingers a barrier was immediately surrounded the house blocking all sound and energy from being felt outside of it.

“Hello Fū.”

Thinking it wouldn’t hurt, I calmly called out to the girl watching in slight amusement as she jumped in place knocking some things over in the kitchen and hurriedly turning to face me with her hands raised in a hand seal.

“Whoa! Easy, easy. I mean you no harm. I just thought I’d drop in and say hi to lucky number seven and her partner.” I raised up my hands showing I meant no harm.

“How did you get here!?” That was the first question that immediately popped out of the mint green haired girl before she blinked as she caught on to what I said last. “Forget that, how did you know that information!?” She asked again this time sounding even more on edge than before.

Pulling a bit of Kurama’s chakra I turned into my version one state seeing Fū widen her eyes in shock as she saw the nine tails made of chakra behind me. “That’s easy. You feel very similar to me after all.” I responded with a teasing grin on my face.

Relaxing a bit Fū blinked again and looked me in the eyes. “…You’re just like me.” She muttered.

“Yes, I’m a jinchuuriki just like you. My name is Akari Tempest.” I nodded and let my chakra dissipate returning back to normal. “If you’re still wary about me then bump fists with me and it will all become clear.” I proposed raising up my hand with my fist closed.

Tilting her head at such a strange answer, Fū just stood there for a moment seemingly having a silent conversation with herself before she finally decided on something and took a step forward.

A moment later I felt her fist bump with mine causing her to blink as she got a read on my heart, what I allowed her to sense of course, and transmitting my memories of what I planned.

Pulling back Fū blinked at me again this time with her eyes no longer showing any distrust and offered me a smile. “You want to set the bijuu free? Is that even possible without killing their vessel?”

“Yes, I have already done it before.” I nodded in confirmation as it would be a simple process for me as I was now.

“But won’t taking the bijuu disturb the fragile balance of power in the world? I remember Shibuki saying something like that once.” Fū chewed her lip in worry.

“Normally you would be correct but that would only be the case if the bijuu were to remain in this world where wars would immediately break out in order to attain them again.” I nodded my head knowing that would definitely happen in any other circumstance.

“However,” I continued and interrupted her with a raised finger when she was about to say something again. “I don’t plan on keeping the bijuu on the Elemental Nations at all and will make it so no one will be able to seal them again.”

Looking at me with wide eyes not quite comprehending what I was saying Fū shook her head and looked up at me with hope in her eyes. “D-Does that mean that I can go back to being a regular ninja again?”

Smiling softly knowing she must have gone through her own share of troubles due to being a jinchuuriki I gently rubbed her head. “Yeah. After this you can just focus on being a regular ninja again and won’t have to worry about ever being seen as a tool for the village anymore.”

Flinching at my words yet not pulling away from my hand, Fū lowered her head and muttered quietly. “It was not that bad.”

She was lying of course as I could feel the anguish rolling off of her in waves at the moment and the budding hope that all this will be over soon if I was right.

“…Right. Should we begin?” Deciding not to call her out on her lie I moved the conversation along causing the girl to look up at me in slight panic.

“Y-you mean you’re going to do it right now?” The nerves getting to her, Fū started fidgeting in place and looking from side to side before she suddenly froze as I pulled her into a proper hug.

“Relax.” I tried to sound as soothing as I could all the while transmitting feelings of reassurance and safety to her.

It took a few minutes in which she never once broke from my embrace but eventually Fū pulled her head away from my chest and looked up at me with a flushed face. “O-Okay. I trust you.” Then in a much quieter voice she mumbled. “That was the first time someone gave me a hug.”

Pretending like I didn’t hear her last words I just smiled at her and finally pulled away from her getting feeling of disappointment from her. “Thank you for that. Now where is your seal located?”

My words only caused the blush on her face to increase as she went back to fidgeting again only this time out of embarrassment. “It’s in m-my tummy.” She stuttered out before turning her head away.

Blinking at such an answer I raised an eyebrow not seeing it as such a big deal as the girl was already wearing a short top that came a bit below her breasts and only her mesh shirt preventing me from seeing anything untoward.

“I see. Can you please channel some chakra into your seal for me?”

“S-Sure.” Not even looking my direction Fū concentrated and a moment later her seal came into view.

With one look I immediately analyzed it and nodded my head. “Okay, shouldn’t be too hard. Please stand still alright, this might feel a bit uncomfortable.”

Seeing her nod her head I placed one hand on her shoulder sending her a steady flow of healing magic while with my free hand I quickly undid the seal releasing Chomei and quickly resealing him within me before focusing on Fū again who looked a bit pale now and was sweating.

‘Welcome to the team Chomei.’ I thought internally feeling the other bijuu greet their sibling.

All of this happened in only moments due to my use of Time Stop making it seem as if only a few seconds had passed. Then wanting to make sure that nothing was wrong with her I summoned my shroud and had it surround her.

“Just relax Fū, I’m going to make sure that you’re fully healed.” I reassured the girl when I saw her widen her eyes when my shroud appeared out of nowhere.

When the binding completed, I dismissed my shroud and gave the confused looking Fū a pat on the head. “There, all done.”

Widening her eyes when she heard that, Fū looked confused for a moment before closing her eyes and seemingly concentrating only to open her eyes a few seconds later with a shocked look. “I-It’s really gone. I thought that was going to be more painful if I’m being honest.”

“It normally would be but I’ve gotten pretty good at this.” I slightly boasted with a teasing grin making her giggle before she looked at me and stared silently at me for a few moments.

“…What happens now?” She asked tentatively.

“Now I go and search for the remaining bijuu but that’s not what you’re really asking right?” I asked rhetorically with a smile only causing Fū to look away proving I was right.

“Fū, do you want to be my friend?” I asked extending my hand forward with my smile widening.

Quickly snapping her head back towards me almost causing her whiplash, Fū looked at me with her mouth slightly ajar. “F-friends?” She asked looking down at my extended hand with longing.

“Of course. I even own a pretty cool hidden place where we can hang out and that you access from anywhere in the world.” My face split into a small grin after revealing that knowing I was being kind of being mean as I kept bombarding her with one thing after another.

Seeing my grin, a small smile grew on Fū’s face before she finally extended her own hand and shook my own. “Huhuhu you’re seriously being unfair right now. I can’t keep up with all the bombshells you keep dropping on me but yes. I would very much like to be your friend.”

I pulled her into another hug causing her to squeak this time before she quickly got over it and hugged me back. “Welcome aboard then Fū though I must warn you, my life is kind of crazy so prepare to be blown out of your mind on a mostly daily basis~” I cheered with a happy smile.

“Yeah, I kind of got that impression of you from the little I know you. Now tell me, how do I reach this hidden place of yours?”

“All you got to do is…”

I took the next few minutes explaining to Fū the usage of the Shroud and the portal she could summon in her house that would allow her to reach my Demiplane. I did warn her though that since I was on a trip for a while, there was a strong possibility that I would not be present for the next few months. Nonetheless I invited her to pay it a visit so she could meet everyone else there.

After getting a promise from her that she would try visiting, I left after another hug and rejoined Konan in the sky who was keeping busy by making some origami. When she saw my arrival, she put her origami away and turned to face me.

“I don’t know how to feel after seeing you accomplish something in mere days when it took Akatsuki years to merely prepare for what you’re doing so easily.” Konan muttered with a slow shake of the head before looking at me seriously.

“Tell me Akari. If you really wanted to, could you have done this anytime you wanted to?”

Looking at the pretty woman, I thought about her question for a moment before immediately finding my answer. “Yes. I could have captured the bijuu for years now but refrained because I was not ready for what came next and because I wanted to spend as much time as I could with those I loved.”

Blinking at my response Konan nodded after a moment before a thoughtful look crossed her beautiful features. “These Otsutsuki. Are they really so strong that someone like you has to be cautious around them?”

“That’s a complicated answer.” I shook my head before thinking of a better way. ‘Hey Ciel, mind doing your thing?’

Might as well give her the Ciel treatment instead of spending a bunch of time explaining everything to her.

“On it~” Dutiful as always, my cute Ciel downloaded the information to Konan’s mind causing her to blink and look at me strangely for a moment before letting out a sigh.

“I see. So, your race has the capability to evolve and when you evolved a few weeks back, you became powerful enough to deal with them hence you decided to stop hiding.”

“Correct.”

“We never stood a chance, did we?” Konan muttered in a low voice already knowing the answer but wanting to hear it from my own mouth regardless.

“No. My power is beyond your comprehension.” I revealed with a shrug. ‘Especially now, that I finally have all or Rimuru’s power.’

“…When you fight this Kaguya person, can I be present?”

Turning my head to her with a raised eyebrow at her request I nonetheless nodded my head. “Very well. Now let’s get a move on. I got a Raikage to kill and an annoying rapper to capture.” I had not forgotten that the bastard had ordered for the capture of Kushina years back and it was finally time for some payback.

‘I wonder how Velzard, Veldora and Velgrynd are doing?’

(Somewhere in Outer Space)

“KUWAHAHAHA! Well done lasting this long, you insignificant insects! Not a single one of you will escape the Storm Dragon!”

=====

“For the sin of daring to bare your fangs at my beloved, I shall grant you a slow death! Now Burn!”

=====

“Die.”

(Back to Akari)

Feeling sweat gather at the back of my neck at just thinking about the chaos those three were undoubtedly unleashing right now without me there to rein them in, I wisely decided to put it out of my mind.

‘Yeah, best not think about it.’

A moment later I teleported us to Kumogakure (The Village Hidden in the Clouds).

“Now for a few changes.” I muttered to myself and changed my outfit to match Konan now donning the Akatsuki black cloak with red clouds and also pulled out my Anti-magic Mask from my inventory and put it on to disguise my identity.

The mask was the one that came into the possession of Shizu when Chloe passed in on to her only for Shizu to pass it on again to Rimuru and then Rimuru passing it on to Chloe again creating a paradox. The original creator of the mask though was actually Rimuru so the mask has been in my inventory ever since I arrived in this world.

“That’s a strange Anbu mask.” Konan commented from my side looking at me curiously. “Is there any reason by the way that you’re dressed like that?”

“I’m about to kill a Kage and I don’t want any repercussions to fall into Konoha because of this. Besides, this way the world will see that Akatsuki is not messing around and it will cause them to take them more seriously.” I explained with my voice coming out a little muffled due to the mask.

“Oh, and this is actually not an Anbu mask but something I created to help me conceal my mana.”

“Mana, that’s the energy that you and those other three could use right? An energy similar but completely different than chakra.” Konan recalled the explanation I had given her on why she couldn’t detect any chakra from the dragon siblings and myself.

“Yes, in the future I will probably grant every one of my companions the ability to also use this power.”

Staying silent at my answer I continued moved the conversation along. “Anyways Konan, I want you to capture a few targets for me while I’m dealing with the Raikage, Killer Bee and Yugito Nii.”

I felt Konan nod her head behind me in agreement. “Very well.”

Creating two clones, I sent it off in the location Killer Bee and Yugito was located while I focused on the Raikage. Since I wanted to make A suffer a bit, I planned to prolong the battle a bit so I was going to teleport them to a remote location before the battle started.

“I’m going. Use the shroud to teleport yourself to my location when you’re done.” Getting a positive response from the woman I disappeared from my position and reappeared in front of the Raikage who was currently alone in his office.

Noticing my presence immediately since I appeared right in front of him, A quickly got to his feet and eyed me wearily.

“Who are you!?”

Not deeming him worthy of a response I appeared in front of the man and grabbed him by the shoulder before forcefully teleporting us away with the Raikage not being fast enough to detect my movement.

An instant later we reappeared on a remote beach on the southern side of the world and I bitch slapped the Raikage sending him crashing into a huge boulder 50 meters away.

Credit to the man though, it only took him a few seconds before he bounced back with the boulder exploding into thousands of pieces as the Raikage shrouded himself in his Lightning Chakra Mode and reappeared in front of him.

The man was slightly bleeding from his lip but other than that, he appeared uninjured which didn’t surprise me as I had held back a lot on that throw.

“That outfit, so you’re with the rogue group Akatsuki I’ve been hearing about lately.” The man deduced after giving me a look and taking notice of my clothes all the while never letting his guard down.

Instead of answering him I looked to his side where a second later the forms of Killer Bee and Yugito appeared along with my clones.

“What!? Bee! Yugito!” Noticing the presence of his brother and subordinate, A attempted to help them seeing as one of my clones had them in a chokehold only wince and look down noticing that his left arm had been severed from the elbow down.

“You should really be worrying more about yourself right now.” I taunted with a hidden smirk behind my mask.
