Chapter 35: Growth Invites Attention
Several Days Later
With the addition of Tia, it only took one breakfast conversation, and a casual mention from me about needing more villagers, for her to speak up.
Apparently, she’d come across a pair of Elves recently who were looking for a new place to call home.
After saying that, she finished her food, said a quick goodbye, and immediately took off to go find them, leaving me and Ru alone again with our pets.
Unknown to them, though, I’d already sent a clone of myself to track down the rest of the Elves destined to join the village anyway, along with scouting out the Mountain Elves to hand-deliver an invitation. Efficiency, baby.
Later that day, as we wrapped up our chores with plenty of daylight still left, I turned to Rurushi.
“Hey, Ru.”
“What is it, Darling?” Rurushi turned to me sweetly, using the pet name she’d started calling me shortly after our first night together.
“Do you have any siblings?” I asked, genuinely curious if she had any family other than her cousin, Flora Sakutou.
Rurushi took on a thoughtful pose, pressing a finger to her chin and looking up cutely. “Hmm… other than my cousin Flora, who I see more like a little sister, I only have a few distant relatives.”
“I see. Would you like to invite them over?” I suggested casually. “There’s plenty of space here if they decide they want to stay a few days.”
That got her attention.
“You know, that’s not a bad idea.” Her expression lit up.
“I haven’t seen Flora in a while, and I’m sure she’ll love everything we’ve built here… not to mention all the amazing tech you’ve brought in from other worlds!”
By the time she finished that sentence, she looked completely convinced, and more than a little excited.
“Okay~! I’ll send her a message and ask her to bring along the Oni maids, too! If more people are coming to live here, we’ll need the extra help anyway.” She beamed, stood up, gave me a quick kiss on the lips, and ran off to send the message.
Reclining in my chair, I let out a satisfied sigh.
‘With the Elves and Oni maids coming in, all that’s left is Dragons, Beastkin, and Demons… along with a few of their servants.’ I nodded to myself.
‘Looks like our time in this world is moving along at a nice pace.’
“This was supposed to be a pit stop, anyway,” Ciel added dryly in my head, clearly unconcerned. “Though I hope you’re ready to explain to the others how you picked up so many girls in such a short time.”
I sweatdropped at her tone but quickly shoved the thought away. ‘I’ll worry about that when the time comes.’
=====
Before we knew it, Tia returned from her short trip, and following behind her was a big group of High Elves along with several Mountain Elves, all of them looking around the village with open wonder.
Ru and I stood at the front of the village to greet them, accompanied by our ever-growing collection of pets. That last detail didn’t go unnoticed, several of the elves stiffened slightly when they realized just how many powerful creatures were casually roaming the area.
“Welcome back, Tia,” I greeted her with a wave, Ru doing the same beside me.
The blonde angel smiled brightly, landed, and immediately ran straight into my arms, greeting me with a kiss.
“Honey Buns~ I missed you!” Tia chirped happily, snuggling against me for a moment before finally pulling away and turning back to the newcomers.
“You were gone for less than a day,” Rurushi muttered flatly beside me.
The angel ignored her completely.
“Anyway! Like I promised, I brought some new residents who are looking for a home,” Tia said proudly, puffing out her chest before adding more quietly, “…Though I didn’t expect to find so many, if I’m being honest.”
At her words, two elves stepped forward, clearly the leaders of their respective groups.
One was a beautiful High Elf with long lavender hair and bright blue eyes. The other was an equally striking Mountain Elf with brown skin, blonde hair, and sharp brown eyes.
I recognized them immediately.
Ria, leader of the High Elves.
Yaa, leader of the Mountain Elves.
“Hello. My name is Ria,” the High Elf said politely. “These are my relatives. We came here after Tia suggested we move to this village.”
Once introductions were complete, Ria bowed her head deeply.
“Please allow us to live here with you.”
“My name is Yaa,” the Mountain Elf followed. “We also humbly ask to remain here.”
She bowed as well, joined by the rest of her people.
I stepped forward with a calm smile.
“It’s alright, you don’t need to bow,” I said, waiting until they straightened.
“And of course, all of you are welcome. We can always use more helping hands around here.”
At my approval, both groups erupted into cheers, laughter, hugs, and relieved smiles spreading through the crowd.
Once they’d calmed down a bit, I continued.
“Allow me to introduce myself properly. My name is Akari Tempest,” I said. “The vampire beside me is my lover, Rurushi Ru, and the angel is Tia my other lover, who you already seem to know.”
I pulled both girls into a light hug, earning happy smiles and faint blushes as they each latched onto an arm.
That’s when I noticed it.
Every single elf had suddenly gone very quiet.
Their eyes were locked onto me, bright, focused… predatory.
I felt a bead of sweat slide down my temple.
‘…Yeah. That tracks,’ I thought dryly. ‘Elves in this world really are desperate for men.’
If anything, their reaction only confirmed what I already knew. The fact that Elves were a lewd species no matter the world they belonged.
“Let me officially welcome you all to the village,” I said with a smile. “Please make yourselves at home.”
Another wave of cheers followed.
The rest of the day passed quickly.
Thanks to Mokuton, housing was finished almost instantly, leaving the elves free to crowd around me with questions and endless praise for my abilities, questions I answered happily.
By the time evening arrived, I wasn’t even surprised when there was a knock at my door.
Opening it, I found the elves waiting, clearly eager for the night ahead.
I’ll just say this, they were very enthusiastic, and I was extremely glad for my endless stamina and high libido if not I was sure that they would have drained me dry.
When we finally finished fucking like rabbits, morning had already arrived.
Thanks to my various perks, everyone was left extremely satisfied, and if anything, the elves seemed even more attached to me than before due to the feat, which worked out perfectly.
During that time, I’d also taken the opportunity to bind them and grant them my power, a revelation that left them utterly stunned… and even more devoted.
=====
Following Day
With everyone sore but glowing with satisfaction, we began the new day by giving the elves a proper tour of the village and teaching them the daily chores. They took to the work immediately, handling everything without complaint or hesitation.
Before long, the girls were busy building a forge and smelting pots, pans, and other kitchenware. Technically, I already had plenty of those stored away in my inventory, but I let them continue anyway. They genuinely seemed happy being useful, and honestly, watching them work together was kind of nice.
Soon enough, we all gathered to eat lunch, one that I’d prepared myself for everyone.
The reaction was immediate.
“I’ve never eaten anything so delicious in my entire life!” Ria cried happily, tears streaming down her face as she continued shoveling food into her mouth.
“Did we actually die and go to the afterlife?” Yaa asked with a similar expression, eating so fast she barely seemed to chew.
“Fufufu~ I know exactly how you feel,” Rurushi giggled. “Even after eating Darling’s cooking for a while now, it still amazes me how good it is.”
“Huhuhu~ I’m so glad I came here,” Tia added, resting her cheek in her hand as she ate gracefully with the other. “Not only did I meet Honey Buns and fall in love, but I get spoiled with all this amazing food, too~”
I chuckled softly before speaking up.
“Oh, that reminds me,” I said, looking at Tia as she turned toward me curiously.
“I mentioned this to Ru yesterday, and she already sent a letter to her cousin. She’ll be visiting soon, and she’s bringing some Oni maids with her to stay with us. If there’s anyone you want to invite, feel free to do so as well.”
Tia blinked, tilting her head thoughtfully as she glanced around the table at the gathered elves. Then her eyes flicked to Rurushi, and suddenly she panicked slightly before nodding rapidly.
“Y-Yeah! I’ll definitely invite others to come live here, too!” she exclaimed. “I’ll leave tomorrow morning!”
Her excitement quickly faded, and she slumped forward with a pout.
“Mouu… I don’t want to travel again so soon,” she muttered. “I’m really going to miss you… and your food sooo much~”
That earned a few soft laughs from around the table.
“Is there a reason you’re gathering so many people here, Akari-san?” Ria asked curiously, looking up from her plate with a slight tilt of her head.
I glanced around and noticed that everyone had gone quiet, all eyes now focused on me.
Setting my plate aside, I leaned back slightly in my chair.
“There is,” I said with a nod.
The shift in my tone was enough to make them straighten subtly, sensing the change in atmosphere.
“You see… I’m not originally from this world,” I began.
The moment those words left my mouth, everyone around the table gasped, their full attention snapping to me.
“I’m a traveler of sorts,” I continued calmly. “I came here in search of trustworthy companions, people I could invite to my own world in order to populate it.”
With that, I activated my abilities and shared a realistic vision with everyone: my world, the open skies, and the steadily expanding town taking shape there.
Another wave of gasps rippled through the group.
Silence followed as they processed what they’d just seen.
Rurushi was the first to speak.
“I-I knew you were strong from the moment we met,” she said softly, eyes wide. “But… you actually have your own world?”
‘More like an ever-expanding universe,’ I corrected silently. ‘But I’ll save that surprise for later.’
“Yes,” I replied with a relaxed smile. “And I’d be delighted if all of you came with me to live there.”
There were a few blinks. Some thoughtful expressions.
But to my relief, none of them looked opposed.
“I’m all in~!” Ria was unexpectedly the first to respond, pumping her fist excitedly causing her chest to bounce slightly with the motion.
“Us too!” the other elves followed almost immediately, smiles spreading across their faces as quiet murmurs filled the air.
“I wonder what his world is like…”
“A new world means our race can truly continue…”
“I can’t wait to see it~”
“I want to bear his child already~”
I very deliberately chose to ignore that last comment, for the sake of my continued survival.
Tia, who had been quietly thinking, suddenly widened her eyes.
“That’s why you haven’t expanded this place further,” she said, turning toward me. “Even though you easily could have done so with your abilities.”
I smiled, impressed, and patted her head. “That’s right. You’re pretty sharp, Tia.”
She sputtered, cheeks flushing red.
“H-Hihihi… t-thank you~” she replied bashfully.
“Would we be able to return here?” Rurushi asked softly.
The entire table fell quiet again as they waited for my answer.
I smiled and gently patted her head with my free hand, making her visibly relax before responding.
“Of course. Anyone connected to me can freely travel between all the worlds I’ve visited, whenever they want.”
“If you ever feel nostalgic or want to return home, you always can.”
She leaned closer to my side, visibly relieved.
“I see… good. Then I’m in too.”
With everyone in agreement, I spent the next few hours answering questions, about the worlds I’d visited, what my world was like, and what awaited them there. I answered every one of them honestly.
That night, as we finally retired to bed after our nightly activities, the air was filled with anticipation and excitement.
The future was coming fast, and everyone was ready for it.
=====
A Month Later
Time passed quickly in the village, with the number of residents steadily expanding as new arrivals joined us.
The first to arrive was Flora, along with the Oni maids, who also brought livestock with them. Flora took one look at the various new plants, and especially the telescope I gifted her, which revealed the existence of microscopic bacteria, and immediately fell in love with the place. Even after I broke the news that we would eventually be leaving this world, she decided on the spot to follow me wherever I went.
Next came Tia, who returned with a trio of angels named Corone, Kuudel, and Gran Maria, as well as several lizardmen and additional livestock. The three angels were her direct subordinates, so they followed her without hesitation and didn’t even blink at the idea of moving to another world alongside her. They currently served as the village’s security which they took to seriously.
Tia also brought along several slimes, who naturally took on the task of waste management within the village.
I felt a bit conflicted about that, considering I was technically a slime myself, but I got over it surprisingly quickly.
Finally, the Inferno Wolves ended up leading a trio of Lamia to the village after what could only be described as playful harassment. Somehow, that interaction ended with the Lamia joining us as well.
Thankfully, thanks to the abundance of modern conveniences stored in my inventory, life in the village was far easier than it would have been on a normal farm. We didn’t have to work ourselves to the bone, and for that, I was immensely grateful.
Beyond convenience, the girls were endlessly entertained by Earth’s technology. Games, tools, and devices that were mundane back home became sources of fascination here, and we often passed the time playing together.
At the suggestion of several residents, we also began experimenting with wine-making. I had a feeling it wouldn’t be long before the Elder Dwarves caught wind of it and came knocking. Having experts handle alcohol production in the future wouldn’t be a bad thing at all.
I was pulled from my thoughts when I suddenly felt a presence approaching, one radiating malice.
I stood up immediately.
“Everyone! We have an enemy incoming!” I called out, already moving toward the edge of the village where the presence was coming from.
Within moments, Rurushi, Tia, and her three angel subordinates arrived at my side, all of them ready for battle.
“What did you sense, Darling?” Rurushi asked, scanning the sky warily.
“A wyvern, if I’m not mistaken,” I answered calmly, snapping my fingers as a barrier spread over the village.
“A wyvern!?” Tia repeated in alarm.
Right on cue, a thunderous roar echoed through the forest.
A massive black wyvern emerged above the treeline, wings beating heavily as it charged toward us with clear hostility.
‘It finally arrived,’ I thought, a faint smile tugging at my lips. ‘I was starting to get a little impatient.’
This meant only one thing.
We would be meeting the Dragons of this world very soon.
