Chapter 41: A Blade in the Dark

Several Days Later

After dealing with the Head Librarian, who was part of the Cult, along with Fenrir—the Fifth Seat of the Knights of Rounds—I headed alone to a hidden location beneath the Academy, sending Liriel back to my room to wait for me.

With the information I had gained from devouring Fenrir, I quickly located and broke the seal that held the right arm of Diablos, devouring it as well before returning to my room for the evening, where Liriel was waiting for me.

(Lemon)

I came to a complete stop the bed and felt my pants tighten at the vision before me.

Liriel was laid atop the sheets in nothing but a red ribbon that covered only her most private parts and looked ready to break as it held her impressive chest, only behind Beta and Epsilon, in place.

She had a small blush on her cheeks as she looked at me with a shy but excited smile.

Looking down at her figure I took all of her in, from how hard her nipples already were, before traveling further down and seeing a line of liquid running down her leg telling me how much she wanted this.

“Well, this is a pleasant surprise.” I said as a smile grew on my lips as I immediately willed most of my clothes except my boxers away and approached the bed.

“Were you touching yourself before I arrived?” I asked with a smirk as I got up on the bed and slowly crawled my way up her body until we were face to face.

Liriel blushed and started panting with a moan escaping her lips as she started to rub her thighs together. “Haah, yees~.”

“Naughty, naughty~” I whispered before lowering down and kissing her lips as my hand traveled between her breasts and grabbed the knot of the ribbon. “I love it~”

“A-Akari~ Please!” Liriel pleaded against my lips with her left hand traveling down my chest before cupping my already hard dick and rubbed it.

“I’ve been wanting you to take me since you returned. Please don’t make me wait any longer~.”

Pulling away from her soft lips causing her to whine sexily and follow my lips, I placed my index finger against her lips with a smirk.

“Not until you tell me exactly what you want.” I said punctuating each word with a squeeze of her breasts letting her lips free again.

“Haah, haah. Fine.” Liriel said as her body moved with need beneath me and tried to rub herself against my boxers before looking at me with a flushed face and an intense look in her eyes.

“Fuck me! Make me your woman! Take my body and make it yours for all eter—Hyyeeeeee~” she couldn’t finish as I grinned, quickly willing my boxers away and disintegrating the ribbon before sheathing myself inside the horny elf.

She let out a squeal as she wrapped her legs around my back and her arms around my neck before she squirted down my lap and the top of the sheets.

“Hgg, tight. As expected of an elf.” I said with a grin and began moving causing her to groan and pull me even tighter against her.

I continued my slow pace as Liriel came down from her first orgasm of the night and could immediately tell when she came to as I felt her meeting my thrusts with her own and her nails scratching my back.

“M-Moore~ It feels shoo good. Faster!” Liriel pleaded before pulling down my head down into her waiting lips and immediately shoving her tongue down my throat.

“Hehehe, typical elf. No matter the world, you’re always so horny.” I grinned against her lips as I did as she asked lifting one leg and setting it down into my shoulder before thrusting harder.

“Aaah~ Y-You’re hitting my womb! I’m shoo deeep.”

Breaking the kiss, I kissed my way down her neck before grabbing her breasts, feeling my fingers fully sink into them and then pulled her nipples.

“Yes! My breasts. Play with my breasts more!”

“Don’t worry, I will. But a horny elf like you needs to be breeded properly.” I said with a smirk before moving her body into a mating press and hammering away down at her.

“AAAHHH! YEEEESSS!!”

And of course she loved it.

Liriel was all but drooling now with her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she threw her head back and had another orgasm.

Not stopping for second, I rode through her orgasm before I felt mine approaching and sank myself all the way down and giving her the creampie she wanted.

We didn’t get much sleep that night, and I once again came to the conclusion that elves were meant to be breeded.

(End Lemon)

With the right arm now in my possession, I could revive Aurora anytime I wanted, but I decided to wait until I obtained the left arm as well, which was held in Lindwurm.

The days passed, and my “fake” relationship with Alexia soon became widely known throughout the Academy. No matter the world or universe, one thing that never seemed to change was how much teenagers loved to gossip, and how quickly news spread in a school.

Especially when it involved romance or high-profile individuals, and as the princess of the kingdom, Alexia was at the very top of that list.

The sneaky girl had even managed to arrange for me to attend her dueling class, which was being led by Zenon Griffey, the very same fiancé she had told me about, and the reason she had summoned the courage to ask me out in the first place.

He was a third-year, and the first time he saw me on Alexia’s arm, he sent me a curious look before dismissing me as a non-threat, which I found amusing. The poor bastard had no idea he was living on borrowed time, so I let him enjoy his remaining days.

I had gone on many dates with Alexia to make our “fake” relationship seem real, but it was obvious she genuinely enjoyed herself. Around me, she didn’t have to pretend to be the perfect princess, she could just be herself.

Someone I hadn’t seen much since my arrival, however, was Cid, who seemed to be doing everything in his power to avoid being in the same room as either me or Alexia.

The little shit was probably confused about what I was doing here and trying to blend into the background. Too bad I had no intention of letting him live a peaceful academy life while I was around.

On another note, news of my new relationship with Liriel had reached the others, and knowing them, it was only a matter of time before they started making their own moves.

I had also heard that Velzard had finally finished building her ice castle, so I had no doubt she would show up sooner rather than later. Despite her cold and aloof personality, Velzard didn’t like falling behind anyone.

Today, however, I found myself walking to class when I paused, noticing a group of knights standing ahead. At their head stood none other than Zenon Griffey, his gaze fixed on me with a serious expression.

‘I see… so he finally made his move,’ I thought.

As soon as I got close enough, the blonde bastard stepped forward while his lackeys surrounded me, their hands resting on their swords.

“I’m sorry, but I will need to have a word with you. Princess Alexia never made it home last evening, and she was last seen with you,” Griffey declared in a firm tone.

Raising an amused eyebrow, completely unbothered by the threatening looks the lackeys were sending my way, I smiled and tilted my head.

“Well, that’s rather strange. I clearly remember walking her to her dorm after our date finished, so I don’t know what to tell you,” I said calmly.

My words caused an annoyed look to briefly flash across the blonde idiot’s face before he quickly composed himself.

The lackeys standing at my sides and behind me, however, clearly didn’t appreciate me talking back. With angry expressions, they drew their swords, and the one behind me immediately tried to knock me out with the hilt of his weapon.

At the last possible second, I sidestepped him and subtly stuck out my foot, causing the idiot to lose his balance and stumble forward toward Griffey with wide eyes.

“W-Whoa!”

Taking my movement as a hostile action, the other two rushed to attack me, only to end up looking like complete idiots as I caused them to trip as well. A moment later, all crashed into each other, knocking themselves out as their heads collided.

What had initially looked like a squad of knights about to apprehend someone was now reduced to just me and the instigator of this whole mess, who was staring at me with a far more wary expression.

“We don’t have to resort to violence. You can still come peacefully. If you are innocent, you will be let go,” Griffey said, attempting to negotiate as he drew his sword, something that nearly made me roll my eyes.

As if I would ever believe anything coming out of his mouth, even if I didn’t already know he was a member of the Cult of Diablos… or sense the hatred he was hiding behind that calm façade.

Unfortunately for him, I had something that made pinning the blame on me a massive headache, my Chosen One skill, which naturally made people view me favorably.

By now, a crowd had gathered around us, pointing and whispering among themselves. But instead of looking at me with suspicion, they were glaring at the knights with clear disapproval at how I was being treated.

Thanks to my reputation, boosted by both my connection with Alexia and my skill, there was nothing negative they could pin on me.

A fact that was clearly irritating the bastard.

“What violence are you talking about? You’re the only ones using it,” I said calmly, gesturing toward the groaning idiots on the ground, their swords still drawn, while I didn’t even have a weapon on me.

“Besides, I’ve been friends with Alexia and Iris for years now, so I have no reason to want any harm to come to them,” I added, casually dropping that detail.

That made his eyes widen slightly in surprise.

“I’m sure if I can speak with Iris, we can resolve this quickly. I assume that if Alexia has gone missing, she’s already here… or on her way?” I continued when he didn’t respond.

Seeing that the situation was slipping out of his control as the crowd’s murmurs grew louder, and more supportive of me, Griffey let out a quiet sigh before sheathing his sword.

“Very well. Please follow me,” he said in a forced calm tone, gesturing toward the Academy.

“See? Was that so hard?” I asked rhetorically as I walked past him, a faint smirk on my lips as I felt a spike of anger from him.

It didn’t take us long to reach the Knights’ headquarters within the Academy. I completely ignored the hateful glares directed at my back from the goons who had tried to apprehend me. They had quickly recovered and, looking thoroughly embarrassed, followed behind me while practically glaring holes into my back.

“We’re here,” Griffey said as we stopped in front of a door.

He knocked once politely before entering after a feminine voice called for us to come in.

Walking in behind the blonde idiot, I watched as he stepped forward and bowed in the middle of the room, the knights behind me doing the same toward the person seated behind the desk.

“Princess Iris, we have brought the person who last saw Alexia last evening. He claims to know you,” Griffey said calmly.

Blinking at his words and unable to fully see me with Griffey blocking her view, Iris tilted her head slightly before nodding.

“Thank you, Griffey. Where are they?” she asked, her tone composed but clearly strained with worry.

At that moment, I stepped out from behind the blonde bastard and made my presence known, raising a hand in greeting with a small smile.

“Long time no see, Iris. It’s good to see you again… though I wish it were under better circumstances,” I said calmly.

Iris blinked at me for a moment before her eyes widened in surprise. Then, to the shock of everyone in the room, a bright smile spread across her face.

“Akari-kun! What are you doing here?” she asked as she stood up and walked around her desk. Without hesitation, she pulled me into a hug, which I returned just as easily. “It’s good to see you again after all this time. I’m guessing you already heard about Alexia?” she asked as she pulled back, her expression dimming slightly with concern.

“That’s right—”

“I-Iris-sama!” Griffey suddenly interrupted, unable to hide his shock, or the anger beneath it. “This person is our prime suspect. May I ask, how do you know him?”

Iris blinked again, this time in confusion, as she turned toward him.

“Akari-kun is the main suspect? Impossible,” she said immediately, shaking her head, which caused another spike of anger, and a hint of unease, from the blonde.

“I’ve known him—or rather, Alexia and I have known him—since we were children. I can say with complete certainty that he would never harm either of us. He has my complete trust.” Iris explained, keeping things vague but firm.

That only seemed to frustrate Griffey further.

“…I see. I apologize for accusing you, Akari-san,” he said, forcing the words out as he bowed slightly, maintaining his act as a polite and reasonable upperclassman.

“I told you so,” I replied with a shrug before dismissing him entirely and turning back to Iris, who looked relieved now that the misunderstanding had been cleared.

“Anyway, I’m worried about Alexia. Is there anything I can do to help?” I asked, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

“That would be very helpful. Thank you, Akari-kun,” Iris said immediately, her expression softening. “With your abilities, I’m sure our search will go much more smoothly.”

“Don’t worry. We’ll find her,” I reassured her with a small smile, giving her shoulder a gentle squeeze.

She nodded, her expression easing slightly.

After that, Iris shared all the information she had, which, unsurprisingly, wasn’t much, considering the person responsible was standing in the same room.

With her worry for her sister, we didn’t have much time to catch up. Iris was swamped with paperwork, likely on purpose, to keep her from investigating on her own.

Nonetheless, I stayed by her side for a few hours before eventually leaving her office as the day drew to a close. I promised to return tomorrow, giving a slightly mocking nod to the blonde at the door, who scowled briefly in response.

As I made my way back, I felt the unmistakable presence of two individuals doing a rather poor job of tailing me. I ignored them and continued walking, eventually leaving the Academy and heading toward an apartment Liriel had acquired in case I didn’t feel like staying in the dorms.

Before reaching it, I spotted Liriel walking toward me from the opposite direction, a hood covering her head.

I smirked.

A moment later, I felt the two goons following me suddenly drop dead.

Entering the apartment, I walked toward the chair in the center of the room, one that looked more like a throne than anything else. Then again, the girls always did enjoy their dramatics, so I didn’t comment. It did look pretty damn cool.

Taking my seat, I leaned back and looked down at the figure kneeling before me.

A beautiful elf with silver hair and blue eyes, a small beauty mark beneath her eye.

Beta, Natsume Kafka, her public identity, and the name I had given her.

“Report, Beta. Is everyone ready?” I asked calmly, crossing one leg over the other and resting my head against my hand, aiming for a composed, commanding presence.

Judging by the small squeal she let out, it worked.

Natsume quickly cleared her throat and composed herself, adopting a serious expression.

“Of course, my Lord. Everyone is ready and awaiting your orders,” she replied.

I nodded, even though I already knew. I could feel the others’ presences scattered throughout the city.

Anticipating this, I had informed Liriel in advance. She had gathered everyone, and now they were simply waiting for my command, to create a large-scale distraction by attacking multiple Cult-owned locations and exposing the Knights, while I used the chaos to rescue Alexia.

“We begin at nightfall,” I said calmly.

“As you command.”

‘Now I just have to wait until night falls,’ I thought, pulling a bottle of wine from my Imaginary Space. I poured it into three cups, one for myself, one for Natsume, and the last for Liriel who would join us later.

She accepted it happily with a soft “thank you.”

Underground Ruins — Alexia’s POV

As Alexia came to, she let out a soft groan as a wave of dizziness and nausea washed over her, nearly causing her to vomit. Luckily, the feeling passed moments later. Taking a few deep breaths to steady herself, she finally opened her eyes.

Blinking away the haze, Alexia frowned as she took in the unfamiliar ceiling above her, immediately freezing.

Now that she could properly assess her situation, she realized she could barely move her limbs. Looking down, she quickly understood why, magic-sealing cuffs bound both her wrists and ankles.

“Where am I…? Hello?” Alexia called out warily, her voice steady despite the growing unease as she scanned her surroundings.

She was lying on a dirty hospital bed inside what appeared to be a cell. Judging by the dim lighting and damp, enclosed atmosphere, she was likely underground, or deep within some castle dungeon.

A second later, she heard a groan.

Turning her head, she blinked in shock as she spotted what looked like a monster in the adjacent cell. It had red skin, a grotesque, misshapen body, and long white hair.

The creature was already staring at her with glowing red eyes, but the moment their gazes met, it quickly turned away.

Forcing herself to stay calm, Alexia took a moment to think, piecing together the situation before arriving at a grim conclusion.

“…Looks like I’ve been kidnapped. The only question is, by whom?” she muttered quietly.

As a princess, she knew people would already be searching for her.

Especially Akari-kun and her sister.

If she could just hold out a little longer, she was certain they would come.

Fortunately, she didn’t have to wait long before she heard approaching footsteps.

A moment later, the heavy door to the room creaked open, revealing a middle-aged man with long hair, wearing a lab coat. In his hands was a metal tray lined with needles and syringes.

The most unsettling part, however, was the crazed expression on his face.

“And who might you be, if you don’t mind me asking?” Alexia asked calmly, trying to extract any useful information.

The man turned toward her, but before he could respond, the entire structure suddenly shook violently. Dust fell from the ceiling as the man’s expression twisted into panic.

“T-They’re here! They’re here to kill me!” he babbled frantically. “Those bastards… I couldn’t even extract any blood!”

Then his gaze snapped back to her, eyes wild, as he began walking forward.

“Blood… blood! I need as much royal blood as I can before they arrive!” he ranted, grabbing a large syringe.

Alexia instinctively inched back as far as her restraints would allow.

“Blood? What do you need my blood for?” she asked, trying to stall for time.

“Royal blood is the key! Royal bloo—”

His ramblings were cut off abruptly.

He froze mid-step.

A thin line appeared at the center of his forehead, slowly extending downward—until, a moment later, his body split cleanly in two.

Alexia’s breath hitched. She barely managed to stop herself from screaming—

Then she heard a familiar voice.

A voice that made her unconsciously smile.

“Heh… looks like, even after all this time, you still have a knack for getting yourself into trouble, huh, Alexia?”

Turning toward the source, she was met with the smiling figure of her “fake” boyfriend.

Relief flooded her, and she let out a shaky laugh.

“What took you so long, Akari-kun?” she asked, smiling as she barely held back the tears threatening to spill.

Once they got out of this…

She would make sure to properly reward her boyfriend.
