Chapter 53: Iblis

“Hey Jibril, Mio. Slight change of plans,” I muttered casually down into the flushed looks of said girls, who blinked as my words registered in their heads.

“What have you decided, Master~?” Jibril asked curiously with a giddy smile on her face, eager to hear what I had to say.

“Have you decided to help this Hyuman?” Mio asked in a similarly curious tone.

“In a way,” I said with a relaxed smile, catching Makoto’s attention. “The kid will still have to learn how to stop leaking out his monstrous power like he is right now and somehow get past the language barrier if he wants to interact with other Hyumans, but at least his problems with that bitch goddess will be solved.”

At my words Makoto became discouraged as I listed his faults without remorse. He quietly questioned himself if the problem with his power was really something he should worry about, so I decided to enlighten him a bit.

“To put it into words you can understand: if you were to randomly walk up to any Hyuman village as you are right now, you would cause mass panic due to all the magic you’re releasing, and they would immediately start attacking you. Hell, for regular Hyumans and other races, you don’t even look Hyuman. All they can see is a fog of darkness that is your mana saturating the air,” I explained patiently, making him look paler as I went on.

“B-But you guys can clearly see me!” Makoto exclaimed in a panicked voice as he pointed at us.

“That’s because we’re considered anomalies in this world too, and your magic power doesn’t affect us,” I said with a shrug.

Feeling a tug on my sleeve, I ignored Makoto’s reaction as I turned to Jibril, who was looking at me with literally sparkling eyes, a flush on her face, and a huge perverted grin.

“M-Master, are you actually planning what I think you are!?” Jibril asked me with an excited tone, almost looking like an overexcited child if it wasn’t for her perverted expression and the way she was rubbing her breasts into my side in a clear attempt to tempt me to touch her.

Mio, on the other hand, being a native of this world and not having seen my full prowess yet, had a concerned expression on her pretty face as she waited for me to answer.

“If you mean killing the goddess of this world, then yes. Yes, I am,” I declared simply with a small nod and smile.

With a squeal, Jibril jumped on me and held on like a baby koala with her legs wrapped around my waist and hands around my neck as she started peppering my face with kisses.

“Masteeer! Can I join!? Please, please, please, pleeeease?” Jibril pleaded childishly, as if asking for a new toy from its owner at the mention of murdering a god.

“…Master, are you sure that is a wise course of action?” Mio asked with a more reserved tone, her worried expression intensifying. “Even if she deserves it, this is the Goddess you’re talking about killing here.”

Before I could tell her that there was nothing to worry about, since my dear Astra had already confirmed that we shouldn’t have too many problems dealing with her—getting a cute and proud huff from the back of my mind—Jibril beat me to it.

“Huhuhu, is the mindless beast really underestimating our Master despite practically knowing nothing about him?” Jibril asked with a chirpy tone that did nothing to hide the malice behind her eyes and expression as she shot Mio a look of pure contempt.

“Maybe I should teach you a lesson in doubting our God!” Jibril ended with as her energy started increasing massively and a purple aura surrounded her as she slowly got back down on her own feet again.

‘God, huh? I suppose that’s not a completely inaccurate statement from their point of view,’ I absently noted the way Jibril referred to me, but said nothing as Mio didn’t even object to it with her next words.

“Tsk, I’m not doubting him, you dumb bird! I’m just worried for him! There’s a clear difference!” Mio said in return as similarly her expression turned dark and menacing, her energy skyrocketing as a black aura formed around her.

Deciding to step in before things could escalate, and not wanting to hurt Mio’s pride since I knew that Jibril would definitely kick her ass as she was much stronger than Mio currently, I clapped my hands once.

“That’s enough, girls,” I said calmly but firmly.

Immediately, as if a switch had been flipped, their power returned back to normal and their scary auras disappeared as they returned to their regular masochistic, devoted selves.

“Yes, Master~”

“My apologies~”

“You’re killing the shitty Goddess!?” Makoto suddenly interrupted as it finally dawned on him what I was planning.

Ignoring him, I turned to Mio, who immediately straightened up at my look. “Mio, I want you to go back and tell everyone that I’ll be out for a bit. Shouldn’t take too long.”

Mio’s brows furrowed a bit in concern, but after staring at me for a moment, she let out a sigh and nodded her head. “Very well, Master. Please be careful and return soon. We will be awaiting your return.” Mio gave me a formal Japanese bow, and then I sent her on her way to my Demiplane.

She had nothing to worry about, as just like how I had done before, I would be sharing my senses with my closest companions so they could see what was happening and they wouldn’t be missing a thing.

“Come, Jibril. Let’s drop off the Hyuman and then it’s off to kill ourselves a Goddess,” I stated calmly as I walked toward the still-freaking-out Makoto.

Jibril was immediately at my side with a skip in her step and a happy giggle. “Huhuhu, this brings back fond memories~ Oh, Master! Can we keep her head after we kill her?” Jibril asked eagerly like a small puppy.

Already knowing the Flügel’s morbid fascination with collecting the heads of the enemies they killed, I didn’t even blink an eye at her question as I patted her head while watching Makoto panicking from the corner of my eye.

“I was just planning on devouring her whole, but I’ll see what I can do,” I placated her, causing her to burst out into a squeal again.

“Thank you, Master! You’re the best~” Jibril cooed as she snuggled her head into my side.

“W-Where are you taking me?” Makoto asked warily as he took a step back from us as we approached him.

Rolling my eyes, I swatted his arm playfully once we were within range. “Relax, man. If I wanted to kill you, I would have done it from the beginning. Now I’ve got a question for you,” I stated with a relaxed expression.

“That’s not very reassuring, but what is it?” Makoto asked while rubbing his arm—the baby, since I hadn’t even hit him too hard.

“Do you wish to remain in this world, or would you like to go back to Earth?” I asked with a raised eyebrow, causing the teen to freeze and widen his eyes.

“…W-What?” Makoto stuttered slowly, as if not fully comprehending what I had just asked as he turned his head to stare up at me.

“Jeez, making me repeat myself, huh?” I said with a playful roll of my eyes. “I asked if you wish to remain in this world or go back to Earth and your family.”

“Y-You can do that!?” Makoto asked with an incredulous expression as he looked at me hopefully for a second before it disappeared and a worried look replaced it. “But the Goddess…”

“Will not complain, since I will be killing her shortly,” I interrupted for him with a confident smile as Jibril giggled at my side.

“And I obviously can do that, as you’re not the only traveler from another world here.”

“Y-You’re really planning to go through with that?” Makoto asked in a daze, even ignoring my comment about my status as an otherworlder like himself.

“Duh, I already said I would,” I said in a deadpan before crossing my arms. “So, what’s it going to be, kid?”

Makoto looked down in thought for a few moments before looking up at me with a serious expression. “…A part of me wants to, but what if I go back and my family is targeted because I broke the promise my parents made to that shitty Goddess?”

“Tsk, it’s starting to really annoy me to see others doubt you, Master. Can I kill him?” Jibril clicked her tongue in annoyance as her happy expression disappeared and was replaced with a murderous one.

Makoto gulped and looked at Jibril with some small fear and wariness, but didn’t back down, which slightly impressed me at his guts.

Smiling a bit, I chopped Jibril’s head gently, causing her to immediately drop her expression and cutely hold her head while looking at me with an excited expression like the masochist she was.

“…Masteeeer~ Your touch is the best! Even pain feels more pleasurable than anything I’ve felt before! I can’t wait until you take me completely~” Jibril gushed at me with a red face as I rolled my eyes playfully.

“Behave, pervert. There will be time for that later,” I chastised gently before turning to the embarrassed and red-faced Makoto, whose expression had finally broken and he was now looking off to the side.

“I suppose I can see where you’re coming from. What if I bring you proof of her death then?” I asked in a normal tone as if nothing had happened and Jibril wasn’t once more rubbing her sensual body against mine.

I made no mention that even if Makoto went back to Earth, his regular life was all but over now that he had finally unlocked his true power, and would leave that for later. Ultimately the decision was up to him in the end, and if he really did decide to go back to Earth, I could probably do something about it.

“I’m still undecided, but I suppose that’s fine. Even if I don’t feel that shitty Goddess truly deserves to die, I can’t exactly tell you what to do,” Makoto said with some reluctance.

Sighing at the indecisive kid and his stupid morals gained from having a Japanese background, I shrugged a moment later before suddenly grabbing his shoulder and disappearing a second later.

We reappeared in a completely different location now, out of the Wasteland and on a hill overlooking a port town in the distance.

Letting go of Makoto, who was already looking around in wonder, I slapped his back, pulling him out of his musings.

“We’ll be back in a while then. That down there is a port town full of Hyumans. You’re welcome to try and make your way down there if you want. Just remember what I said before,” I instructed calmly, getting a blink and then a hesitant nod from the teen.

“A-Alright, thanks.”

“Sure. Later,” I said with a half-hearted wave before we disappeared again, leaving the boy to his own devices.

Since I already knew he didn’t fully believe me, he was about to find out for himself just how the Hyumans in this world viewed him with his own two eyes.

As for Jibril and myself, we had a Goddess to happily murder.

=====

We reappeared up in the sky a moment later as I sprung my draconic wings to keep me afloat while Jibril naturally flew beside me, waiting for my instruction.

“Be ready for anything, Jibril. While that Goddess is extremely vain and annoying, there’s no denying that her power is real, so I will be showing some of my true power today,” I began as I summoned my God-grade sword to my hand, causing Jibril to stare at it with a mix of wariness and awe, no doubt feeling how dangerous it truly was.

Next I shifted the casual clothes I was wearing with my usual white and black outfit that, with the passage of time and as they absorbed my magicules, had similarly transformed into God-grade equipment.

Normally I would just go in guns blazing, as I had complete faith in Astra that we would win, but it never hurt to be too careful in case anything unexpected happened. Besides, even what I was doing paled in comparison to the countless contingencies my lovely Manas had no doubt come up with.

“Hmph, of course! While I’m here, nothing will harm Caius-sama!” Astra declared with a proud tone.

‘That’s my partner~’ I complimented, smiling as I felt a wave of happiness hit me at such a simple compliment.

‘Anyway, let’s do this, Astra. You handle the barrier and I’ll handle the bitchy Goddess,’ I instructed as my face turned serious.

“Leave it to me!”

Turning to Jibril, who was releasing massive amounts of both bloodlust and regular lust, I gave my orders. “Jibril, once we get there, I want you to keep any others from interfering.”

“I won’t disappoint you, Master!” Jibril declared seriously, reigning in all her bloodlust as a look of cold focus replaced her expression.

“And be careful. While I don’t anticipate other gods interfering, anything can happen in the midst of battle,” I warned, getting another nod from her.

“Right!”

“Let’s do this then,” I said, reaching out my hand to her again. The moment it came down on her shoulder, we disappeared and instantly reappeared in a massive room with gaudy furniture and too much lighting.

My gaze though instantly zeroed in on the figure of a blonde woman who was calmly sipping wine while sitting on a piece of furniture.

A moment later a barrier settled in around us by my dutiful Astra, catching the attention of said Goddess, startling her and causing her to let out an undignified sound as she quickly turned around to face us with a dumb look on her admittedly beautiful face.

“W-Who are you!?” she instantly demanded as she looked at both of us with a startled look. “And how did you get here!?”

I said nothing and just let a smile grow on my lips while Jibril, who was looking at the Goddess with a tilted head and curious expression, suddenly scoffed and crossed her arms.

“This is really the Goddess of this world?” Jibril asked incredulously while giving now said offended Goddess a look of extreme disappointment. “I guess I shouldn’t have expected too much from this lowly world.”

“Watch your mouth, whatever you are! I will give you both a pass for intruding on my domain based on your beautiful appearances, but I won’t tolerate a second insult!” the Goddess declared as her face twisted into an ugly frown, exposing her true rotten self for us to see.

“Hmph, vain much?” I scoffed lightly, unable to help myself. While I was somewhat already expecting this, now that I was standing in front of the creation deity, I was able to see how twisted she really was.

Thanks to Slanesh, I could feel all her desires as clear as day, and I could say with confidence that compared to a regular human or Hyuman, she was practically drowning in them.

“Well, she is a Goddess, and according to many legends they tend to do everything in excess,” Astra informed me idly with a blank tone.

‘Let’s get this over with,’ I thought silently, having already scanned our surroundings and, other than finding some weak signatures, finding no other deity close by.

“Jibril, you have your orders,” I said simply as I started walking forward toward the still-seated Goddess, who finally noticed the blade in my hand and immediately became wary as she jumped to her feet.

“On it!” Jibril immediately answered as she turned to where some small creatures—fairies, from the looks of it—were now coming into the room.

Paying them no mind, I slowly let the restraints of my power go as a rainbow-colored aura poured out of me in waves, causing the Goddess to become a bit startled as she realized the gravity of her situation.

“…Are you challenging me, mortal?” the Goddess, who I didn’t know the name of nor wished to know, demanded as her tone became imbued with her divine power and a golden aura surrounded her, making the room shake violently.

Smirking at her attempt at intimidation, I similarly started channeling my Divinity into my blade, which from this day forth would be known as Iblis, or Despair.

I thought it fitting since Elpis, who had been the original Rimuru’s signature weapon, signified hope. It would definitely make a great pair if I ever managed to pair them together in the future. They would be sister swords, you could say.

Focusing back on the Goddess, my actions had caused her to become startled and look at me with shock and anger.

“A God!? I don’t recognize you! Identify yourself, intruder!” the woman demanded as her power kept increasing while we both ignored the screams in the background from her subordinates as Jibril joyfully massacred them.

“The name is Caius Aurelius,” I stated, letting my power match hers and then eclipse hers in the next moment, taking pleasure at the way she became stiff as fear and despair slowly bubbled under the surface.

“And I’m not here to challenge you,” I continued as I finally came to a stop a few feet away from her. “I’m here to kill you, whoever you are.” I finished, smirking even wider.

A handful of emotions crossed her face at my words before they settled on anger as a weapon of light manifested in her hand and she pointed it at me.

“I will make you suffer the consequences of angering me, cur!” she declared angrily.

“We’ll see about that,” I quipped back, idly noticing my sword had started shining with all the colors of the rainbow for some reason but paying it no mind for now.

‘Watch carefully, everyone, and learn as much as you can,’ I mentally transmitted to all those who were currently watching my fight inside my Demiplane.
