Chapter 7: Maine’s Crew

With the realization that these people were probably Rebecca’s crew, I hesitated, contemplating whether to take the shot or not. On one hand, the girl had run me over a while back. On the other, she had kind of apologized for it. And then there was the fact that she was cute.

‘Tsk. My dick is going to end up deciding, isn’t it?’ I thought with a deadpan. The choice only got worse when I caught a peek of Rebecca’s bare thighs as she moved around.

“Damn it.” I muttered quietly to myself as I lowered my sniper, stored it away in my Inventory, and pulled out my Overture again.

Just because I had decided to spare them didn’t mean I was going to be an idiot and reveal myself while unarmed. That was how accidents happened. And once more, this was a place where trust was rarer than a unicorn — and those didn’t even exist in this world.

Deciding to get it over with, especially as they were getting closer to my hiding spot, I let out a small sigh before speaking out loud.

“You guys here for a job too?” I spoke clearly while still hidden from them, causing them to startle. A couple of shots went off in my general direction.

“Who’s there!? Show yourself, choom!”

“There was someone here before us after all.”

“…That voice sounds familiar.”

‘Trigger happy much?’ I thought with a roll of my eyes.

“Easy. If I wanted to blow your brains out, I would have done it already when you stumbled into the room earlier.” I said, still keeping a calm tone. “Now I’m going to come out. If you shoot, I’m putting a bullet in your head.”

I made sure to wait for their response first and heard them whispering among themselves for a moment before I got an answer.

“Alright. Just as long as we’re clear that it goes both ways, choom.” The voice came from the apparent leader of the team, who just happened to be the huge black man with too much chrome.

“Fair.” I said as I calmly stepped out from where I had been hiding, finally revealing myself with my hands slightly raised. They immediately pointed their guns at me but didn’t do anything else. I waved in Rebecca’s direction.

“Hello again.” I greeted calmly.

Recognition immediately entered her red and green eyes, and she lowered her gun the next second. “Oh! It’s you again!” she declared, pointing a finger at me.

Beside her was the white-haired girl I had briefly run into at Lizzie’s, making me realize she was part of her crew as well. I idly noticed that, like Rebecca, she clearly recognized me, though she was doing a better job of disguising it than Rebecca was.

Unlike Rebecca, though, she still had a face that clearly said she didn’t trust me at all. Curious as that was, I paid it no mind. It wasn’t strange in this city.

“You know this guy, Becca?” the tall and skinny man with the mohawk asked as the others also gave her their attention, lowering their guns slightly but still staying wary.

“Yeah, this is the guy I ran over a while back. Met him again at Lizzie’s and we had a drink.” Rebecca explained cheerfully before turning her full attention on me, ignoring the weird looks she was getting and the ones they were sending my way at her words.

“Anyway, what are you doing here, choom? I didn’t know you were a merc too?” Rebecca asked with a cheerful expression, all wariness from earlier nowhere to be seen on her face.

“Easiest way to get money. Just finished a job, actually.” I said with a shrug as I finally lowered my hands and moved my finger away from the trigger. “Wakako wanted the Scavs here gone, and I was just finishing up before you all showed up.”

“Shit. You working a gig for Wakako?” The Black man whose name I still didn’t know asked as he finally relaxed. Seeing him do so, the others did as well.

“Maine, don’t forget we still have our own gig to finish as well.” The huge blonde woman — who I had thought was a man at first — reminded the now-named Maine.

“Shit, you’re right, Dorio.” Maine cursed before turning to me. “Hey, choom, you didn’t happen to find any survivors, did you? That’s actually why we’re here in the first place. Got a gig to rescue some rich corpo girl.”

I raised an eyebrow, finding it weird that they also had a job in this place, then dismissed it a moment later as I nodded, getting their hopes up.

“Yeah. Found some half-dead girl in an ice box a few minutes ago. As for her still being alive, I wouldn’t know what to tell you.” I said with another careless shrug.

“Fuck! Where?” he asked urgently.

Turning my body sideways so I wouldn’t have my back to them, I pointed at the last ice box. “Over there.”

Immediately, most of them made a beeline for it, leaving behind the guy with the mohawk, Rebecca, and the white-haired chick.

With a friendly and somewhat flirty expression on her face, Rebecca started walking toward me while the other two hung back.

“You must be pretty badass if you managed to flatline all the gonks here without any chrome, choom! I knew there was something special about you the moment I saw you!” Rebecca congratulated me as she carelessly slapped my back in a friendly manner while smiling up at me.

“You mean when you ran me over?” I asked with a deadpan, raising an eyebrow at her.

Blinking, Rebecca smiled nervously while scratching the back of her head. “I already apologized for that. Besides, you look fine to me, so why don’t we just forget about that?”

“Hah. Fine.” I said with a roll of my eyes, causing her expression to brighten again.

“Anyway, you guys here on a gig for Wakako too?” I asked casually, trying to make idle talk.

“Nah, we’re working a gig for a gonk named Faraday. Didn’t expect to run into you, to be honest.” Rebecca freely admitted without any reservations, causing me to slightly raise an eyebrow.

‘Either she doesn’t care about things like subtlety, or she doesn’t mind me knowing that.’ I privately thought. Going from the small interactions I had with her thus far, my guess was on the former.

Just as I was about to ask something else, I saw that Wakako was calling me. I had given her a heads-up earlier about the job being done.

Holding out a finger to a curious Rebecca, who just nodded silently, I picked up the call.

“Lucius, I gotta say, you certainly don’t disappoint. I will keep you in mind if anything else needs a strong hand.” Wakako muttered in a slightly impressed tone.

“As long as the eddies keep rolling, then I’m your man, Wakako.” I replied with a small smile.

“Sent you a little extra for dealing with it so quickly. I’ll be in touch.” Wakako said before hanging up. A moment later I saw a notification about the deposit.

Looking back toward Rebecca, who was fiddling with her custom pistols — which, from the looks of things, were a pair of Omahas — I gave her a nod.

“Well, now that I’ve got paid, I’ll be taking my leave. It was nice seeing you again, Rebecca.” I informed her, blinking as a frown appeared on her face.

“Leaving already? Why don’t you come with us? We’ll be hitting up Lizzie’s after this for some drinks.” Rebecca suggested with a smile.

Before I could respond, we paused as the sound of an AV was heard. Then we saw Maine rushing out with the girl I had left for dead. Trauma Team quickly landed outside before leaving with her.

‘What do you know. She did have a membership with Trauma Team after all.’ I thought a bit curiously as we watched Maine come back inside and walk in our direction.

“Seems we will be getting paid after all. The girl was barely alive, but as long as she ain’t dead, Trauma Team will put her back together.” Maine informed his crew, getting nods from them.

Then his attention turned toward me, now with a much more relaxed expression than before. “Thanks for making our job easier for us, choom. Name’s Maine, and this is my crew.” He thanked me before extending his hand in a friendly gesture.

“Lucius. And don’t mention it.” I didn’t hesitate and met him halfway, not even flinching as he gave me a firm handshake that would have probably hurt if I didn’t have such durable skin. “Like I told Rebecca, I was just doing my own job is all.”

He seemed a bit impressed even if he didn’t say anything as he took his hand back and nodded.

“If you already know Rebecca, wanna join us for a drink? First round is on me.” Maine suggested with a smile, getting supportive nods from some of them. Rebecca, seeing an opportunity, joined in as well.

“See? Even Maine agrees, so join us, Lucius.” Rebecca tried to persuade me with a flirty smile as she sidled up beside me and grabbed my arm.

Looking around and not seeing anyone having anything against it — even the white-haired girl who had been constantly keeping an eye on me this whole time remained silent — I let out a sigh. I figured there was no harm in it and nodded.

“Alright. Thanks for the invite.”

“Alright! You won’t regret it, I promise.” Rebecca cheered enthusiastically.

‘Well. Let’s see how this goes.’ I thought to myself silently as we all moved out of the building together.

Hours Later

Plap. Plap. Plap.

‘I should’ve known this was bound to happen.’ Those were my thoughts as I pounded away at a petite but quite firm white ass with hard thrusts, drawing moans from the owner.

“Harder! Fuck me harder!” none other than Rebecca screamed back in orgasmic joy as I used her pigtails as a handgrip and did as she said, fucking her doggy style.

The evening had started out normally enough, with me sharing a drink with Maine’s crew as he introduced me to everyone. I could now finally put names to unknown faces.

Like all get-togethers and parties I had been to before, though, as soon as the drinks started rolling, inhibitions lowered. Having a very willing partner in Rebecca shamelessly flirting back with me, I gave in to those urges.

The next thing I knew, we were all over each other, hands wandering everywhere, and Rebecca was asking — demanding — that I take her back to my place after finding out I lived pretty close. In our rush, we didn’t even say goodbye to the others as we left.

We had barely made it to my door before clothes started flying. Not that Rebecca had many in the first place, after I found out she was only wearing a sports bra and panties underneath that huge jacket of hers and nothing else.

“I’m close.” I grunted as I started thrusting even faster and felt Rebecca’s insides tighten around my member.

“Fuck! Fuck! Inside! Fill me up, choom!” Rebecca yelled back. I had figured out she was also quite vocal in bed as she thrust her hips back at me with surprising strength for such a short girl.

Not having to worry about impregnating someone, due to all sorts of medicine and cybernetics made for that specific thing, I slammed myself all the way inside before bursting inside her for the third time that evening. I felt her come undone immediately after.

“Fuck yeaaaaaah!” Rebecca let out in a drawn-out moan as we rode our orgasms before she collapsed forward into my bed.

Letting out a small breath, only a bit exhausted after that, I sat back and watched with satisfaction as a river of cum gushed out of Rebecca’s small twitching pussy.

Fucking short girls was always a joy. Being so tall, I could maneuver them however I wanted, and with them not weighing very much, I could go on for hours. Rebecca certainly seemed to love being treated like a doll, if the screams and demands for more were anything to go by.

“Haah, haah. You’re a beast, choom.” Rebecca tiredly muttered as she maneuvered herself onto her back again and looked at me with a flushed and tired smile.

A smile that froze for a moment as her gaze lowered and she saw that I was still perfectly erect and rock hard.

“Damn. If I didn’t know any better, I would have called bullshit on your dick bein’ 100 percent real due to being so perfect.” Rebecca muttered as a lewd grin slowly grew on her face again. Then she lowered one of her hands to her pussy and stretched it open for me.

“Well? Have at it, choom. Never let it be said that I’m a quitter.” Rebecca muttered lewdly as she started fingering herself.

“Hmph. We’ll see about that.” I said with a smirk before getting closer, grabbing her ankles, pulling them next to her head, and then sheathing myself in one go.

“Oooohh~ Yeah, that’s the good stuff. Ruin me, Lucius!” Rebecca yelled as her eyes rolled back and she came again.

“You don’t need to tell me that.” I grinned before I began thrusting again. “The night is still young after all.”

We ended up going for several more hours. Rebecca did her best to keep up with me, but eventually, as the sun was rising, she finally passed out with a tired but satisfied grin on her face.

I may still have been a little salty about the whole getting-run-over thing, and I had taken it out on her body.

Not that Rebecca seemed to mind.

=====

Days Later

Finishing up my last gig, which involved killing some fucker who had turned cyberpsycho, I shot Regina a quick message to let her know it was done and made my way back to my car.

A few days had passed since I ran into Maine’s crew and since I had fucked Rebecca. As expected from someone living on the edge in this shitty city, we had acted casually the next morning as I drove her back home before saying our goodbyes, with the possibility of a repeat performance in the future.

I wasn’t bothered, of course. It wasn’t like I was desperate for a lay the way I had been when I first arrived in this world. I had just gone back to completing jobs.

On a positive note, I had completed another side quest from the System after finding an iconic weapon by sheer luck named Skippy — basically a modded variant of the Yukimura with its own AI — and gotten a sweet reward.

[Hidden Side Quest Completed: Found iconic weapon.]

[Reward: Map to the locations of every iconic weapon in the game added to Agent/phone. Will update itself if a weapon is not currently available for whatever reason.]

Since then I had been doing my best to collect as many of them as I could, of course. I had always been a hoarder in every game I played, and now that my life had sort of turned into one, I wasn’t about to start changing now.

Speaking of the System and my cheat power, I unfortunately hadn’t gotten anything interesting other than increasing my proficiency with some of my more mundane skills like cooking, and increasing my knowledge of how to modify my own weapons that Gunsmith provided for me.

Pushing those thoughts away, I looked at the positives, which included finally saving up enough money to either move to a better apartment or get myself a better car.

I was still debating on which to pick at the moment.

Returning home for the evening, really looking forward to a nice shower as it had been pretty hot today, I blinked as I saw the familiar figure of a red-haired woman waiting outside my apartment door.

Plastering a smile on my face, I continued my pace before greeting her.

“How’s it going, Gloria? Haven’t seen you in a few days.” I greeted calmly, grabbing her attention and causing her to turn her gaze my way.

Like before, she still had a few bags under her eyes from working too much, but they seemed lighter now than when I had first met her. As she caught my gaze, a small flush grew on her face before she quickly recovered.

“…Hey, Lucius. May I come in?” she asked in a somewhat subdued tone, making me silently raise an eyebrow before I dismissed it a second later.

“Sure. Come on in.” I replied as I opened the door for her and signaled for her to go inside.

Getting a thankful nod from her, she walked in with her head a bit lowered and facing the ground. My gaze couldn’t help but wander down to her tight jeans.

‘Is it me, or are her jeans tighter than usual today?’ I silently wondered as I entered after her. Without saying anything, I served both of us a drink.

She reluctantly took it from my hand with a small thanks. I relaxed into my couch before patting the seat beside me and watching in amusement as Gloria didn’t protest and sat down a moment later.

‘Could she perhaps be low on cash again?’ I pondered as I let my hand come down and rest on her thigh, smiling wider when she didn’t say anything.

‘Oh well. Whatever the case might be, there’s no denying that this milf is not leaving tonight without my seed sloshing in her womb.’
