Chapter 59: A Small Trip

Days Later

With literally every pantheon being real in this world and with Heaven’s current pissing match with the Fallen and the Devils, we had laid low for several days in which I used the time to catch everyone up on the little I knew about this world.

There was also the slight problem of the Devils probably out on a manhunt for myself and Jibril after I killed and devoured one of their leaders, but that was slightly less important.

Thanks to the memories I had retrieved from Leviathan, I had gained some knowledge about this world that far exceeded what I already knew, which helped fill in some of the blanks from my spotty knowledge.

All my knowledge about this world was basically entailed watching the first season of the anime and then gaining some pieces of trivia here and there thanks to the internet, and Leviathan’s knowledge helped a bit.

The best piece of information I had received was some reports that Leviathan had read about the Heavenly Dragons Ddraig and Albion being seen fighting recently, which was good news for us.

Other than giving me an opportunity to either search out the dragons and either make them my subordinates or just devour them depending on their temperament, it meant that the Great War would still go on for a while.

From what I knew, the war didn’t last very long after Ddraig and Albion were defeated by the Three Factions and then sealed inside Sacred Gears by God, so we had some time to work with.

I of course didn’t spend all my time lecturing everyone about this world but also spent some much-needed time with everyone, giving them equal attention so they wouldn’t feel left out.

Most of my time, though, had admittedly been spent with the Elder Dwarves, providing them with ideas from Earth and showing them the new metals I had been able to recreate like Magic ore and its more advanced forms like Magisteel, Adamantite, Mithril and Orichalcum.

They had fallen in love with the new metals and immediately gotten to work like men possessed, promising great results from their work.

I had left them alone after that, seeing the eager looks in their faces to immediately get to work, and then visited the Alke and Mistio Lizards next, Mio and Tomoe’s kin.

With the Mistio Lizards being hard workers and the body and strength to show for it, I got them to start working on farming the seeds I had confiscated from Ichigo’s world. Glad for having a dedicated task, they had thanked me and got to work after I explained to them how each seed was planted and taken care of.

I had tasked Emma to keep an eye to make sure they didn’t forget or had any questions about anything after giving her an iPad with all the needed information and teaching her how to use it, of course.

Next, with the Alke being naturally great alchemists and farmers, I set them the task of growing Hipokute grass in the nearest cave. After saturating the cave with my dense magicules, I showed them the true value of the plant and how they could be turned into potions used for healing injuries.

With them being part spider, they had no problems working in dark environments and immediately set up a lab, trying to see if they could produce potions as good as the ones I could make inside my body with alchemy, and I let them to it.

Since I considered those the most important tasks, I hadn’t assigned everyone else specific jobs yet and they just helped either exploring the Demiplane, hunting the wild beasts that had migrated here, or helped in the farm since it required a lot of work.

If I was being honest, being a competent leader was exhausting work and I was already dreaming of the day where I could just push all my workload to someone else that was more suited for it, like Emma for example or maybe the Demoness trio from the Cardinal World.

“Stop complaining, Caius-sama. What you did can barely be considered hard work anyway,” Astra cutely reprimanded me from the back of my mind, making me pout childishly.

“Sue me for not liking doing boring stuff,” I huffed and took a sip of my coffee, currently seated in my office as I read a few reports written by Emma of the progress of how much Elysium had progressed so far.

“Hmm, those Elder Dwarves sure are miracle workers. They quickly learned how to process magic ore and forged Tomoe and some of the others weapons of good quality on the first try,” I muttered in an impressed tone as I turned the page.

“It won’t be long now before they start producing Unique-grade weapons at the minimum based on their sheer talent. At this rate they might even teach the dwarves of the Cardinal a thing or two,” I shook my head in amazement before focusing on the next topic.

I turned a few more pages seeing some things that caught my eye, like Riruka, Lilynette and Starrk asking for more modern technology like more games and movies for the latter two and more food choices and cute things for Riruka.

There was also a small note from Tier about acquiring some alcohol for her subordinates that I stamped my approval on, and the Bambies wanting more variety of clothes which also got my approval. Since I could produce really high-quality silk, along with Mio and the Alke, we just needed someone to start learning tailoring which some Orcs and Gorgon volunteered to do.

Thinking back, Mio had requested to learn how to cook and showed an interest in modern firearms, so the dwarves had made her a pair of pistols that worked on magic and she had been practicing with them since.

Finally Tomoe had been sparring with Nelliel ever since acquiring her new swords, with the latter being a very competent teacher and Tomoe soaking up everything she could.

As for Jibril…

I couldn’t finish the thought as said person suddenly knocked on the office and I sat up before telling her to come in.

Jibril immediately waltzed in with a blinding smile on her face as she all but skipped to my table, having been on a high ever since our outing last time and subsequent massacre of the Devils.

“Master~ Have you given any thought to my request?” Jibril asked with her big round eyes getting even bigger somehow as she looked at me like a puppy.

‘Still hasn’t given up, huh?’ I thought with a fond roll of my eyes.

For the past few days and ever since first commenting on it, Jibril had been hounding me about her request of letting her travel back to her old world to recruit her sisters for me.

So far I had been managing to push it back with some excuses, but it was becoming abundantly clear that Jibril wouldn’t be forgetting anytime soon and this was something she really wanted.

Letting out a sigh, I leaned a bit forward and plastered a serious expression on my face since the situation called for it. After all, there was a very high possibility that Jibril would alert Tet by trying to poach a whole race under his nose for his little game.

If that happened, the God would immediately notice Jibril and the fact that she was no longer shackled and tethered to that world’s laws. The very same laws that he set into place.

“Are you sure this is something you want to do, Jibril?” I asked calmly.

Adopting a serious expression of her own, Jibril nodded firmly.

“Yes, Master. I want to tell my kin that I finally found a new purpose to continue living and show them that they too can find that if they follow you. As you know, the Flügel are a race that were created for destruction. With the new rules set in place, they are stifled and most are living day to day with no true purpose,” Jibril recounted softly, clearly feeling strongly about the subject.

“However, if they were to pledge themselves to you as I have, everything will be fixed!” Jibril suddenly became animated and placed her hands in a prayer as she looked at me lovingly and worshipfully. “Their chains will be broken and the Flügel will be free to return to our true purpose once more!” she exclaimed passionately.

“…And how sure are you that they will fall in line?” I asked curiously with a raised eyebrow, honestly very tempted.

The Flügel were amazing combatants if you managed to overlook some of their flaws like their bloodlust and hatred for other races. They were also unquestionably loyal, if you managed to win them over, as Jibril had proved ever since I met her.

“We Flügel, ahem, apologies,” Jibril started only to stop and blush a bit in embarrassment as she coughed into her hand. “I still sometimes forget that I’m no longer a mere Flügel but something even greater thanks to your marvelous power.”

“Pay it no mind, continue,” I said with a small hand gesture, not bothered at all.

“As I was saying, the Flügel are weapons and as such, they need an owner to guide them. I will use the new strength you have gifted me to show them what they stand to gain if they follow,” Jibril stated with a blank tone before it suddenly turned dark.

“If any decide to disrespect you or even dare to even think of laying a finger on you, then I won’t hesitate to eviscerate them with my own hands,” Jibril all but sneered as if the mere thought disgusted and infuriated her.

“Hah, there’s no need to go to such lengths,” I said, releasing another sigh at this crazy angel always resorting to violence. “If you manage to convince them, then I wouldn’t mind proving my strength to them somehow. In the worst-case scenario, I can always give them a small scare by flexing a bit of my power,” I ended with a small shrug.

“I-If that is your wish, Master. Though I still believe a punishment is in order,” Jibril reluctantly agreed, not fully on board with that but going along with it anyway.

I almost wanted to roll my eyes as I had a pretty good idea that it wouldn’t come to that if Jibril’s sisters were anything like how she had described them to me and how I remember them being from my memories.

‘Chances are, all that will happen is I will just gain an army of battle-obsessed angel girls with a penchant for collecting heads,’ I inwardly thought as my mind conjured up hundreds of Jibrils before quickly shoving it to the back of my mind.

That was future me’s problem.

“…Very well,” I eventually said as I slumped a bit into my desk, getting Jibril’s attention. “I agree to this plan of yours.”

I had not even finished when a pink missile impacted my chest, forcing me back against my chair as Jibril then started peppering my face with kisses.

“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I won’t let you down!”

“However!” I suddenly grabbed her face with my hand and pushed her back so I was looking into her eyes and gave her a serious look. “You will agree to a few conditions of mine!”

Not even bothering to answer verbally, Jibril just nodded repeatedly with shining eyes and a huge smile as she snuggled into my hand like a puppy.

“Pay attention!” I rolled my eyes and moved my hand away, getting a small pout in return. “First, you won’t start any real fights with anyone if you can avoid it.”

I waited until she nodded before continuing. “Second, if Tet notices you somehow, you are forbidden to butt heads with him and will wait for me to get there,” I declared, this time more seriously, since this one was the most important.

Jibril started blinking then repeatedly at what I said before tilting her head. “You’re coming with me, Master?”

“Not exactly,” I shook my head, confusing her further.

Instead of elaborating, I extended my hand forward and under her curious eyes a bit of blue goo separated from my body and formed a tiny slime the size of a big marble.

“This,” I began, raising the blue slime to her eye level, who was already looking at it with stars in her eyes, “is technically me. I split off a tiny bit of my being that will allow me to experience everything you see and hear in real time. You will carry it with you at all times,” I explained patiently but let out a tired sigh as Jibril immediately grabbed it and rubbed her cheek against it.

“It’s so cute! This was your original form, right, Master?” Jibril asked mid-cuddles, treating the tiny slime like it was precious.

“Yes. To be honest, I don’t technically have a physical form anymore after evolving into a Digital existence. This body you see now is merely a shell for me to interact with everyone, and my human form and slime form are just the forms I’m most comfortable with,” I explained idly as I looked down at my hands for a moment before shaking my head and focusing back on Jibril, who looked thrilled to learn something new about me.

“Thank you for sharing such information with me!” Jibril declared with a formal bow and everything, making me deadpan at her.

‘It’s not such a big deal, you know?’ I thought with a small roll of my eyes.

“Ahem, anyway, if you have any questions, you can ask it and I will respond accordingly. This is just an insurance in case Tet shows up, though, and I will be leaving mostly everything in your hands,” I continued, getting her attention again.

“Leave it to me, Master! I won’t fail you!” Jibril got a serious look again as she quickly shoved my tiny self inside her cleavage and saluted me, making me sweatdrop.

‘Of course that’s where she shoves me.’

“Right…” I muttered, still with a bit of a deadpan, before smiling and suddenly pulling Jibril forward and into a kiss, surprising her for a moment but she quickly responded as she wrapped her hands around my neck and returned it enthusiastically.

We kissed for several moments before I eventually retreated, ignoring Jibril’s small whine and the look of pure arousal she was sending me as I smiled gently at her.

“Most importantly though, please be careful, Jibril, and return home soon,” I muttered sincerely, causing her arousal to disappear and a look of embarrassment to hit her as she surprisingly turned all shy and meek.

“I-I will.”

‘This crazy angel is sure something else,’ I thought fondly, having never seen this cute side of her, and giving her one more small kiss before retreating.

“Now please go prepare yourself for your journey while I let Emma know to get a feast ready for your departure,” I ordered playfully as I poked her nose.

Jibril just nodded, still out of it, and before leaving she quickly stole a kiss from me, making me smile, before leaving the room and leaving me alone again.

“…What do you think, Astra? What are our chances of facing off against Tet when something inevitably goes to shit and we are forced to rescue her?” I asked to the silent room as I went toward the window overlooking outside and looked out into the beautiful garden.

“After calculating the magicule loss from the travel between Universes, there’s still a high chance for us to come out on top, Caius-sama. That dumb Goddess was stronger than we first thought and gave you a significant boost,” Astra immediately answered with a sure tone.

“Yeah, the bitch was actually really strong but she didn’t know how to fight for shit. Speaking honestly though, going by Tet’s character I don’t believe it will come to a true fight. At worst, we will probably have to face against him in some game of his,” I muttered, feeling a smile grow on my face as I saw the forms of Lilynette and Riruka running in the garden, clearly having fun.

“That’s my conclusion as well. Nonetheless, I have already prepared several countermeasures against him in the worst scenario,” Astra reassured me a bit smugly, making me smile wider.

“That’s my partner.”

My work forgotten, I spent the next few minutes just enjoying the relaxing atmosphere before I called up Emma to get the party ready.

=====

Following Day

Watching as the portal closed behind Jibril as I stood with everyone to wish her luck and safe travels, I figured I might as well do something to distract myself, so I turned to Mio and Tomoe, who immediately caught my gaze as I focused on them.

“Hey Mio, Tomoe. Would you like to accompany me on a small trip?” I asked pleasantly, causing them to straighten up and smile happily.

“I would love to, My Lord!” Tomoe immediately responded with a respectful salute, still playing the role of a female samurai.

“Of course, dear~ Where are we going?” Mio asked with a beautiful smile on her face and shining eyes.

Grinning a bit, I gazed at Tomoe for a moment longer before answering. “We’re going dragon hunting.”

Honestly, getting involved in the Great War would be a great idea. It lets his Soldiers (like the girls) get more experience fighting actual battles instead of just spars and adapting to their new power much quicker. As for Tet...I really hope he doesn't kill the guy. And I have to wonder if some Flugels will choose to stay behind, even if its just 1. Wasn't there only a few Ex-Machina left after their own war? Either way, a harem of Angels of War will be quite quite nice~ Heaven is gonna be shocked~!
