Birdwatching WIPs (Patreon)

It is currently 5:53am on friday and I just barely managed to get this done and posted by the skin of my teeth.

Had a sudden idea to draw/paint a character I haven't drawn in probably a decade. This wasn't meant to be something done with a ton of rendering but it ended up closer to that than my original idea, for better or worse. I'd originally wanted it to be a lighter, more "typical watercolor" painting but got this instead, though I'm happy with it.

I don't normally mix my colors when I paint and instead apply them as direct washes, but I didn't use a green and had to mix from my palette this time (alizarin crimson, cadmium yellow light, cadmium orange medium, and cerulean).
