I do actually make full character sketches like you see here even if not all of the character will be visible.  It helps a lot with making sure proportions and such make sense, else you can end up with some really nonsensical things going on.

Here's hoping I can keep these going on a weekly basis.  I do hope you're enjoying the project so far as I'm putting everything I have into this, especially the writing.  My whole writing background is academic, not creative, so it's been quite a learning process the past few years.

Something I would like you to keep in mind, if possible, is that this story will not be like previous series.  In previous series there was a singular focus and it was about overcoming that singular focus.  This project will be a greater scope of life and will include some perhaps "irrelevant" happenings and information as it goes on.  Life is a lot more than overcoming a single obstacle-- it's also about the friends we make, the people we share our lives with, and the events that got us to where we are today.  I ask that you take this as a whole instead of focusing solely on "what happened in Eye to Eye?" when life is simply so much more than that.  Your questions will be answered all the same, but it's important to have the entire context instead of just the most relevant bits and pieces.  Please keep an open mind as this progresses.

I've greatly enjoyed your writing and look forward to reading this in its entirety. I like that you pointed out that it has a much broader focus so I expect it but can't wait to see it all.

A fuller story is something I've wanted to do for a while, but between the lack of confidence in my writing ability, my finances, and my living situation it wasn't something I could do. I'm a little more confident in my ability now, but my finances and living situation are still rocky and up in the air. I'll still do what I can to produce regular/weekly updates.
