A long time ago I used to make traditional ink wash paintings and I wanted to do that in Rebelle to see how well it worked.  Verdict: Pretty well.

Last week was really shitty so I just didn't have the mental fortitude to do much more involved.  I'd been dealing with an eye infection in my better eye and one of my mice died on thursday due to complications of heart failure.  While he'd always been kind of small and sickly, we weren't expecting him to go when and the way he did.

...Needless to say, I wasn't really up to doing much.

I'm using this image to gauge some interest in another image, whether or not I should bother remaking the whole sketch,  Yagarai isn't a character that gets much attention.

I can't say I know who Yagarai is, but this looks pretty damn cool and I for one would be interested in seeing more of this ink wash method.

she is a very old character of mine and one I tend to use when I want to try something new for some reason. I used to do a lot of ink wash paintings back in the stone age when I was in high school since a bottle of ink is usually fairly inexpensive and lasts a long time, but it's nice to know I can do it digitally too to an extent.
