This time I wanted to work on my greys.  I know, nothing too exciting, but greys have always been pretty important in my work so I wanted to work more on them with this program.  I didn't want to just do a completely greyscale image though so I used a similar palette to the Nightmare painting, but swapped out alizarin crimson for quinacridone magenta as the purples it produces when mixed with payne's grey work better for Akyri's few color accents.

Of all the things I had a hard time with, it was the short snout and trying to make the fur not seem too coarse.  No idea if I accomplished my goals but I did the best that I could.  I really need to dial back the laboring with the brushwork in the future and try to be more loose and deliberate when I work, but that's a very hard habit to break.
