Free Foundry MADventure - Harrow Hill Horror! (Patreon)
Content
Hey all!
Today we're excited to release our second Patron Poll MADventure - Harrow Hill Horror!
This adventure is the result of our previous poll, where the community voted for an APL 3 adventure set with the backdrop of a haunted hospital.
This map was clearly inspired by the House of Healing from Baldur's Gate 3, and I decided to write an adventure that would hopefully feel evocative of those encounters without just feeling like you're playing a copy/paste of the events of the game. Additionally, I added an additional encounter before the dungeon map itself which gives players more context on what's happening in the final dungeon, as well as a change to burn down a few more of their resources if needed!
"The sun has not risen in nearly a week over Harrow Hill, leaving the village washed in colorless dusk and endless rain. Lanterns burn around the clock, livestock panic at nothing, and the dead refuse to stay buried.
Rumour - then evidence, begins to lead to the long abandoned House of Mending, once a place of healing and learning now twisted into a laboratory of necromantic surgery."
Harrow Hill Horror includes:
A fully-formatted adventure journal.
19 Actors
26 Items
5 Scenes
2 Roll Tables
The adventure begins in the Royal Oak tavern within the village of Harrow Hill itself, which has been plagued with a week of endless night and rains so far. Here, worried villagers try to keep their spirits high and speculate what could be to blame for the issues the town is facing.
The information discovered here (and the promise of rewards) may lead characters to investigate the Outskirts Graveyard, where reports of robed figures exhuming the graves is causing alarm. Here, the final clues on the origin and culprit of the curse may be discovered!
This leads to travel towards the abandoned House of Mending, with potential for a further random encounter along the way for groups who fail a survival check or have a DM who feels they need a bit more softening up!
In the House of Mending itself the culprit behind the night curse and the graverobbing is revealed in a short but challenging dungeon crawl culminating in a fight against Doctor Krastinov and his fleshwork monster!
Patrons are able to install the Foundry module for Harrow Hill Horror now by installing the manifest file, now available in the Monthly Exclusives section of the All The Things™ tier Master List!
This Foundry adventure will be free for All the Things tier Patrons until the end of the month, after which point it will be available on our web shop and other marketplaces!
We hope you enjoy this MADventure release!
