Here’s my VERY messy notebook of songs that I use to log down every song I add to the station. I just yesterday added this group of tunes to A-Bomb Radio and thought you fine folks should get a peek at the process:

Basically, if I ever come across enough songs overtime I feel should earn “station-status”, I’ll write down each song/artist, followed by the year. (PS - you know what’s nuts? Sometimes I simply CAN’T find the years to certain songs. Like, I can find the actual song on a lot of directories, but certain ones omit the year, which drives me crazy 😆).

As you can see, I’ll cross out each song that I’ve officially added to keep track and narrow my work down. After that, I use special software to fill out the file’s metadata so that the artist and song both appear correctly on the ABR’s rotation.

Thought that would be an interesting little nugget of info to share 😊.

Awesome! You should check out «the jubalaires old man noah» on youtube and see if that deserves to be on a list!☺️

Do you have Sirius? I listen to the 40’s station and a lot of time they include the year. I have noticed that when I go to download at iTunes it will show the date the song was remastered 😕

OMG 40s Junction?? Yes! When I had the trial version of Sirius I was glued to it. And that’s precisely one of the deterrents to finding the actual year sometimes; very rarely will they show the original release date instead of the remastered date.
