I just finished this game and I can’t believe what I just witnessed. I first stumbled upon this game on itch.io and thought it would be an interesting play through while I had nothing to play. It turned out to be one of the best games I have ever played. I’ve always been a fan of the visual novel games and something about your style just mesmerized me. I can’t tell you how but I felt so connected to each of the characters and they felt so real. I didn’t play for the NSFW (mostly) but the story itself is scripted beautifully. I can say for certain that this game will always hit home, no matter what. You have made a memory for me and you deserve all the support; and I am honored to support you. 💙

*Spoilers for the update* Wow... Caribdis, you've done it again! After what I felt was the best lewd scene in the series so far last update (Luna's whole mini-arc), I have to admit I had tempered my expectations for this update--not because I expected less quality, but because some of the aesthetic themes explored (WW1, wild west) simply aren't really my cup of tea. But I was mistaken: your consistent writing and top-notch animations really impressed me! In the spirit of both well-deserved praise and constructive criticism, I wanted to leave some of my reactions to the episode, though as always feel free to ignore my subjective and too-long ramblings! -I loved the opening cinematic and self-contained new-gem-obtaining arc. The animations, both cinematic and later in the lewd scenes, were very impressive: well-formulated camera movements and really quite complex compound animations. Better yet was the very fun showcase of each character's contributions and some much-needed character development for Annie in the beginning. One of the challenges inherent to a harem plot is that in real social life, including historical and contemporary forms of polygamy/harem, partners are obviously affected by complex forms of competition, cooperation, insecurity, etc. with other partners. It's nigh-impossible to deal with this in a fully convincing way in fantasy-fulfillment AVNs, so we have to suspend our disbelief. Once in a Lifetime swept the issue under the rug with some strategic transition dialogue, as for instance immediately before Judie and Lauren's climatic threesome (there, the moment of "finding out" and reconciling all happens off camera.) But for some Eternum characters, this is a slightly bigger issue because insecurity or rivalry is a core part of several character motivations (i.e. Annie/Chang, Dalia/Penny.) So I thought Annie's quest to become useful throughout the beginning was a great way to build her character and simultaneously redirect from the possibility of problematic sexual rivalry with other characters. -Loved the fun bespoke Elven lore animations. Not sure whether you did them yourself or outsourced production, but I definitely appreciated the experimentation and think it definitely paid off! It also helped with pacing, which I have to confess think was overall a bit off this episode. I find that for me the most satisfying pacing for (A)VNs resembles the tried-and-true side quest structure of RPGs: a new mini-arc/situation is introduced, the MC has to labor to overcome an obstacle or fulfill a goal, and is "rewarded" in the end, while still contributing to the overall plot. The Luna scene last episode executed this outstandingly: car ride rapport -> navigating fun family/cultural dynamics -> hot lewd scene. Obviously this gets boringly repetitive in RPGs, and so too with AVNs, so the order must be played with. This episode, we had a long introductory sequence, followed by the Collector arc culminating in the Annie scene. (Great so far). Then, however, the Calypso and Dalia sex scenes follow in relatively short order, without any scenes that take significant time/offer consequential choices/significantly advance the plot in the interim. This led to the episode having a highly back-heavy feel, which dampened the emotional intensity for me. - Really great lewd scenes this episode. I wrote a bit previously about how I really enjoy Eternum and Once in a Lifetime for being able to create a real will-they-won't-they tension which ups the realism, heat, and suspense of the relationships. The execution in this episode was nothing short of the amazing Lauren deflowering scene in Once in a Lifetime, which until now was my all-time single hottest AVN scene. Asking the player to show restraint with Dalia felt highly mature and ultimately quite sexy. This made the 0 to 100 Alex scene all that much hotter. I'll confess, Alex is my favorite girl and I had a hunch she'd be on the docket for this update so I was pretty excited. But the spontaneity and intensity of the sex was shocking! I didn't expect them to go all the way... and then I didn't expect them to start up again... and then I certainly didn't expect Alex to be begging for creampies in their first tumble! Hot as hell and definitely a scene I'll be returning to. What really sealed the deal on this scene though was the surprising realism and maturity with which it was executed--Alex always felt like Alex to me, and although she was more vulnerable it always felt quite natural and never like a clunky tsundere trope. My only wish going forward is that the relationship can continue this level of heat! If I could offer one note of very mild caution for the road ahead, it would be that with Alex 'down', it does feel like many of the remaining girls are chomping at the bit ready to throw themselves at the MC. Annie and Dalia have pretty much explicitly promised that their next encounters would be sex, and it's hard to see how Nova or Penny would feel any different. Well and good, but I would say: with this much build up, definitely don't rush the landing; I would hate for any of them to feel 'easy' or fully taken for granted. Make us work for rewards!!  - Final thought: one problem with porn, which filters through to AVNs, is that at the end of the day there's only so much creativity possible when it comes to sex. The limits of human anatomy, I suppose. Hentai of course expands this by incorporating fantastic and non-human elements (tentacles, anyone?) but I have to admit that such fare has never quite done it for me. The Calypso sex scene this episode though, manages to be among the most creative I've seen in an AVN and also extremely hot! I think it owes it all to the excellent writing in the scene as well as the impressive animations. Great stuff! Thanks again!

Hey Caribdis, I've been enjoying your visual novel and I'm quite curious about Alex's backstory. I noticed on the VNDB database (https://vndb.org/c106303) that Alex is listed as not being a virgin. I've also played the game and it seems to align with that characterization. Could you kindly shed some light on Alex's past? I'm intrigued to learn more about the characters and their journeys. Keep up the fantastic work!

Amazing. I can't understand how you make it better and better with each update. It's absolutely amazing. The music, the dialogues, the sex, everything is perfect. Now my problem is that I have to wait for the next update. Ah, and another thing that never ceases to amaze me is how you manage to care for your community by answering all the messages we send you and informing us with te progress of the game so accurately. Love the game, the story is amazing, the art is beautiful, the characters are so good, only got one issue, when I downloaded the 0.6 version over my 0.5 version I couldn't load my save files and had to start over, is this normal?
