Hello everyone, last year I announced that I'm slowly but surely venturing into the creation of videos. The initial tests have been successful, and I have gained good knowledge, but I'm not completely satisfied with the results yet.

About the video: I put together the video from three individual pieces without any music, sound, or other gimmicks. It's just an initial test to see how the dynamic calculation of clothing works in a video, as well as the creation of videos. I paid particular attention to the frames per second playback. Currently, 35 individual frames were calculated for 1 second. Each of the three individual pieces had a pure rendering time of around 17 hours.

My issues with the video: Firstly, I realize that my computer, despite good hardware, is getting old. Rendering these videos has taken a lot of time, time that I lack to keep up with the ongoing comics if I want to focus more on animations. So, I will have to find a compromise here, which means I will eventually have to invest a large amount of money in a new high-end computer system to maintain both the comics and animations. The system I have in mind currently costs around €5000, a considerable amount of money.

Secondly, I found that while DAZ is a nice program for pure image generation, it has many limitations for animations, which can be partially bypassed with tricks but are sometimes very hidden. So, I will have to build an alternative to DAZ, and at least for now, it will be Blender. I have done some initial tests here, but somehow I am struggling with the handling.

You can find the Test video as attachment.

Let me know what you think.

I mean it's not bad it looks really good but like you said you definitely need a better set up I really like it but animation on your current system will definitely have alot of limitations

It looks very nice for your first test, but 51 hours for a 12 seconds clip is brutal. €5000 should get you a more than capable machine, that's what I spend on my new rig last year (Ryzen R9-7950X, 64GB 6000Mt/s DDR5, RTX4090).

Look fantastic but does cut from the hip/butt transformation a bit too quickly to really see what has happened

SitriAbyss

Wow! This is very impressive indeed. It was way better in small subtle movements than what I ever made thus far. And how did you do the subtle breasts jiggles? Was it pre made or you just adjusted everything by hand?

A lot of work for a few seconds says a lot but this ain’t to bad. You’ll find a better way to make these animations longer

This is an amazing start!

As a CGI animation beginner, there's a chance I may have overlooked the best options, but I'm eager to explore and learn more.

Amaz2k12

That is true. And you have an amazing machine you have. For gaming maybe?

Amaz2k12

Indeed, a broader perspective on the enhanced buttocks and hips could be beneficial.

Amaz2k12

I'm glad you appreciate it, Sitri. No, the bouncing bosom wasn't pre-made. I meticulously added the motion along the timeline, utilizing the most detailed settings. Each limb detail setting had different types for a keyframe, allowing me to customize the expanding chest and motion at various levels.

Amaz2k12

That's the plan. Glad you like it.

SitriAbyss

Yeah, I thought so. It worked out really nice. I had some occasional issue with the timeline that things moved around by themselves no matter what I did. Still it's a great start :)

Amaz2k12

Yes, it can be tricky. Once you've identified the root cause of the problem, handling it becomes easier. Picture Zero never becomes a 100% set keyframe, no matter how much you mark it as one. For a workaround, when starting the animation, begin at a higher frame number like 5, set a keyframe, adjust the settings, then return to zero/one, set the keyframe again, and restore the settings to their normal values. Alternatively, manually set the keyframe as a T-keyframe in the detailed section. This way, you can precisely specify which axis or part should be changed and the duration of the adjustment.

Not gaming, I dabble a bit in morphing and hoping to get into 3d rendering and VR.

Amaz2k12

I wish you the best of luck for your projects, BacE.

Oh yeah I've heard Daz is kinda tough to work in 3D with. I'm surprised after all these years they haven't expanded that part of the program more. I think there are ways to port things to blender but I'm not the expert here just have friends who have worked in both

KID

Amazing

Amaz2k12

That is true - there is a Daz Blender Bridge to import figures, props and enviroments.

SitriAbyss

To be honest, I didn't understand half of what you just said, but I think I got the gist of it :D
