Today we're playing Neuro, taking a deep dive on a janky odyssey lost to the western world for a decade, revived out of the blue in English by a Taiwanaese company around 2016/2017. It's a sci-fi shooter character study of a dumbass who bumbles his way through a crime investigation, ruining the lives of many in the process. It may have had an effect on me. The Arcs of James and Walter 01:20:32 - Taking Neuro as a character study, James’s newfound confidence is demonstrated to be a rather shallow affair, Walter contrasts with James like Warden Avatar had prior. The Manual 01:28:02 - The Manual for Neuro is filled with setting details, character bios, chronology and weapon lore, 90% of it is never brought up in game and doesn’t actually help much, giving Neuro a weird sense of place. 016.
