Orthrus (Patreon)

Finally after (it seems) two years I got around to this species and dressed them (drew traditional clothes). Especially since I have been asked to tell about them for a long time ┬┴┬┴┤･ω･)ﾉ  _______________________________________________

Ortrus (Orf, Orfus) — One of the races of beastmen.

"Orf" sounds like a dog barking and the "r" must be pronounced clearly, like a roar. Some Orfs don't like it when the name of their race is mispronounced, some just laugh at it. But in any case, you will definitely receive some favor from them if you don't have problems with the pronunciation of "r".

Habitat: mountainous terrain covered with deciduous and coniferous forests and meadows mixed with mountain rivers, lakes and underground springs (there are even hot springs).

Mineral resource: Coal, gold.

Religion: Orthrus have their own religion and gods. It's impossible to take their faith if you are not an Orthrus.

Magic: They do not develop magic and categorically stay away from it. However, they have shamanism. Any of the Orthrus can become a shamin - the main thing is to have talent, but this rarely happens. Traditionally shaman is inherited by their children. The strongest shamans become oracles.

Orthruses are anthro wolves with two and rarely three/one heads. The two heads in their religion symbolize the heart and mind. The third head symbolizes the soul. Orthruses have one name, but it's divided into two/three parts for each personality/head. Orthruses with three heads are the strongest and the largest. They are usually leaders, rulers or oracles. They are respected and highly appreciate. Orthruses with one head are considered inferior and are physically much weaker and smaller. They are placed in the lowest social class from birth.

Orthrus respect strength and intelligence, they make strong warriors and hunters. Their traditional art is bone carving. They also have well-developed cattle breeding. Although gender equality prevails among the Orthrus, only male can traditionally be shepherds.

The height of a single-headed Orff is approximately 180-220 cm. (6 ft -  7 ft 2 in)

The height of the two-headed Orff is approximately 230-280 cm. (7 ft 6 in - 9 ft 2 in)

The height of the three-headed Orff is approximately 320-400 cm. (10 ft 6 in - 13 ft 1 in)
