Let's Do Some Theory: Why Net Neutrality Is like Ice

SUBSCRIBE and join us! https://goo.gl/7vUgh0 I’ve been a little apprehensive about sharing my PhD work with you. In many ways, the stuff I’ve finished is still in the early stages. But today I want to talk about the theories I’m employing to answer my questions about what history is exactly. I feel I may be onto a definition, and to explain, I’m going to show why the danger of losing something like net neutrality, is similar to how water becomes ice. A little unclear? It will make sense in a minute. This’ll be a bit of a strange video. A typical Step Back episode covers stories from the past or ideas from history. The subject today is less events and occurrences, but theory. And to finish off, I’m going to use theory to show why net neutrality is something we need to fight for. Step Back is made possible by the generous contributions of viewers like you, consider helping at https://www.patreon.com/stepbackhistory You can also help by getting your hands on Step Back merchandise over at https://shop.spreadshirt.com/StepBack/ Step Back is a history channel releasing videos biweekly that endeavors to go past the names, dates, and battles you might find elsewhere. It invites you to take a step back, consider the past and how it connects to today. We search for the quirky, unconventional, and just plain weird parts of our collective story. Hey Tristian, just curious, why do you post videos twice? I assume the first posting is the patreon early access and this one is public access. Other creators I support only post videos once -- I think, but I'm not sure, they have them private for early access then just turn them public. Either way, just one video ends up in my feed and I get just one notification. Minor issue, but it's a bit disappointing to get a notification of a new video and then find out it's one I've already watched. Thanks! (Oh, great video BTW)
