Hey friends,

This was my second video for the Cold War channel (as of this writing there are two finished but unreleased scripts). This one was an itneresting challenge because as I learned very quick that history on the UN is actually pretty sparse when trying to avoid a US-centric view.

Formation of the United Nations and Western outlook - COLD WAR

World War II showed that there is a need for a global organization, which would be able to prevent future conflicts and give a chance for peace. Both sides of the Cold War had their own interests in the situation, but despite the antagonism, almost everyone was interested in the establishment of this new organization. In this video, we will discuss the Western outlook of the United Nations. Consider supporting us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/thecoldwar
