Patron Report Q2 2021 (Patreon)

Hey folks, time for an update on the last few months.

Q2 has been a real rip. Videos are doing well, but the production schedule is proving a lot to handle. Either way, the biggest change was to sidestep a little and move into not only explicitly historical content. People seemed to want it, and I wanted the opportunity to branch out creatively. This doesn't mean the age of the history video is over (obviously as my last one was) but it's a sign that I can experiment more with content to make this a platform that adapts, grows, and reinvents itself as I grow.

The only reason I can do this is because of people like you who give me ability to make what I feel is important rather than what will appease sponsors, or stay in ad-friendly guidelines. I've also implemented a system of letting $5+ patrons vote on the topics of a good portion of my future videos.

That being said, I can tell you next quarter will have some pretty important stuff covered, with July having videos on climate refugees and the residential school system. August I have videos on cryptocurrencies and a 20 year retrospective on 9/11. 

September will be the 6th year anniversary of my channel, and with the end of my Bokksu sponsored videos I will take a small vacation and only release one video, which will be a revisit to the topic of my first Step Back video, why are conspiracy theories so american?
