Book Recommendation: 1491 by Charles C Mann (Patreon)

So this is my first book recommendation, expect them as I come across really good books that talk about history in some sort of interesting way. I couldn't think of any better book to start with than 1491. My video about Native Americans before the arrival of Columbus was based on this book. It's a great survey of the last 30 years of archaeology on the precolombian Americas. It shows that the people here before were much more numerous, sophisticated, and advanced than we ever suspected. There is a sequel I am knee deep in now about the world changing effects of the Colombian Exchange called 1493 that I will write about when it finishes.
