Book Recommendation: Coming of Age in Mississippi: The Classic Autobiography of a Young Black Girl in the Rural South (Patreon)

So I am pushing this book despite it already being solidified as a classic. This is the story of Anne Moody, a women who very recently passed away last year. She grew up in unimaginable poverty in Alabama in the 1940s, as a black woman, and also her story as she grows into becoming a civil rights activist. It's quite a crazy story, and well written. A great read with the holidays coming up.
