I don't consider this wild but it sure was a bizarre part of my career as a manga illustrator. If you look hard enough, there are videos of it.

Wattpad Teen stories were massive in my country, big enough to get picked up by major studios and turned into movies.

I was one of the few lucky illustrators who got in early, adapting these rom-com stories into manga before they got snagged for big screen adaptations. No royalties of course, I was paid in street creds.

It definitely was an experience.

I don't have the heart to share this publicly but this is something I feel comfortable sharing with you here.

Should everyone else know?

This is insane to read, but respect for getting on that grind

I’ll be the first to say this here is such a wild bit of lore. I follow a whole lot of artists online, patron to some, but I had no clue how deep in the trenches you were as a full on manga author.

I would say that if there are videos of you out there and you value your privacy, I probably wouldn't mention the videos to everyone else

Yikes, 9 per show?!?

Go for it! Talk about it

That sounds like robbery. I don't think a company should be allowed to pay people in "publicity" a person should be properly compensated for their hard work
