I wanna put a few pages in on what families of different wealth levels can afford. These guys would have a childrearer or personal dairygirl, a good townhome, a waddledog in the stables and enough money to contribute regularly to neighbourhood bounties, but they’d be hard pressed to reward a party of adventurers for a personal quest, regular body modification, and definitely not immortality. They also have high quality fitted clothes.

What sort of job would be middle class?

Varies

It would be interesting to dedicate something in the future explaining or commenting on the role of Dairygirls beyond the farms, as retainers of adventurers and in families that can afford it.

Look at her brain tendrils! She must be wise

Curious

Great family

Vice & Violence

Successful traders and krakenship captains, retired pirates and adventurers, tailors, urban blacksmiths, great house head servants, good restauranteurs and busy tavern landlords, jousters and good entertainers, tradesmen with a few employees, stuff like that. Anyone beyond subsistence level farming and labour, pretty much.

How does middle class afford a personal dairy girl? Wouldn't that be rather expensive?

Man of madness

I love the idea of "neighborhood bounties". Not the kind where the town elders hire out to vanquish a friend threatening the regions crops but neighbors in a borough needing a group to catch some vandals or something.

If dairy girls are livestock then it's not weird for a family in our world to have a cow or goat. And these dairy girls probably aren't the "high production" girls of the large farms. And the magic of a dairy girls means they "produce more calories than they consume" so it's not a crazy idea .

Penny

I figured they were more providing s service than being actual livestock,,

You can distinguish the middle class from the working class by their wearing complete sets of clothes, and you can distinguish the middle class from the wealthy by their clothing being practical.
