Discord <-> Patreon Tutorial (Patreon)

Hey everyone, it's been pointed out that I was a bit of a dummy yesterday.

First of all, the Blind Chaos discord server invite link is here for those that want to join manually and do NOT want to connect their Patreon to their Discord for whatever reason (I'm not going to judge!):

If you really, really don't want to connect the two, I can try to handle a few people with a manual role to give you access to the patreon channel on my server. This will require me to manually track your subscriptions on here (and I'll have to go with the day you cancel, rather than the day your sub ends), so I don't want to do this for more than a few people.

Now, that said, if you connect your Patreon and your Discord, you don't need to use the link!

I'll provide a text walkthrough, then a graphical one, then Roniiboy made an alternate, possibly easier tutorial too.

Please note, at this time to the best of my knowledge this HAS to be done on a PC! I've been told the app & the mobile website both lack the discord integration option.

1) Crim's text walkthrough

Use the menu bar on the left side of your screen to go to settings -> More (a dropdown menu) -> Connected Apps.

Click Discord.

If you're signed into Discord on your PC, you should just need to click the button and it'll sync from there. You'll auto-join all servers with Patreon integration that you support at that point, with your Patreon roles already set!

2) Crim's Walkthrough with Pictures

Step 1: Click Settings.

Step 2: Click the 'More' dropdown in your Settings menu.

Step 3: Click 'Connected apps' within that dropdown.

Step 4: Click the arrow next to Discord (or almost anywhere else on the Discord section).

Step 5: Here your screen will vary, since I'm already connected. IIRC there's a 'Connect' button instead of 'Disconnect,' just click it and sign into your Discord if you aren't already signed in on your web browser. You can also toggle the servers for the individual Patreons you're members of on or off.
