Hey everyone. First and foremost I have the cover for the new book two to show you all!

Nozomi, as usual, did an amazing job with this one (as always). The scene is taken straight from (currently) book 1 chapter 37; Ranthia's performance at Fausteo's Musical Theater. For those confused at why I have a new cover, as a refresher I'm splitting the current two books in half so I can get physical books made (among other reasons).

The bad news, unfortunately, is that I'm not ready to resume writing yet.

For those who aren't on my discord: I was put on an antibiotic to try and get the swelling down so I can receive surgery to fix the problem. ...Unfortunately, the antibiotic didn't have any effect on the swelling (just on my ability to keep food down). I'd tried to contact the doctor on Friday to request something else because the swelling has worsened since my visit a week ago, but naturally no one answers phones and I never got a call back on my message I left. Ahead of a three day weekend.

In typical CrimCat has amazing luck fashion, a power outage on Thursday took out my UPS that I keep most of my networking equipment behind, including the NAS that I keep Blind Chaos on. I have backups of course and I actually have redone the portion of the next chapter I'd previously finished, but between the minimal sleep, the constant pain, and the fact I have to take frequent breaks for hot compresses, I'm not exactly up to my usual standards of productivity.

I deeply appreciate the patience of those of you who offer it, I've no idea what the surgery is going to cost (assuming I ever get the swelling under control) so every bit is desperately appreciated, even more than usual.

I'll keep working as I'm able and (Xaoc willing) I'll get a response from the doctor's office tomorrow and finally get this swelling under control.

Hope you'll feel better soon and good luck with the doctors. But have to say, I'm impressed by a home UPS and NAS setup.
