No Update Today (Patreon)

Hey everyone. I'm REALLY sorry to day this, but I need to bow my head and ask for your patience while I skip today's chapter for both RR and Patreon.

For those that forgot, my PC's in the midst of a rapid (and highly premature) hardware failure on its primary SSD. As I discovered after my computer began too eerily misbehave over the weekend. Six figures of base 16 data errors, climbing every time I recheck, is not a happy thing, no matter what the SMART test claims. I've been fortunate in that it's failing relatively gracefully, which has given me some time to get everything together. And, as of last night, the replacement SSD arrived along with an external enclosure so I can clone and replace it (assuming the cloning process doesn't fail from data degradation).

But I've really, really been struggling to write this week with everything going on! Too much stress. Too much uncertainty. Too little comfort.

Especially with book 5 coming nearing its conclusion! Seriously, how's a cat supposed to work under these conditions? (Spoiler: Quite poorly and with excessive stress, as it turned out.)

A bad combination with a wildly under productive admin week.

I sincerely apologize, but I refuse to compromise on quality just to extrude words.

And seriously, thank you—all of you. With every unplanned expense my savings deplete that much faster than I was expecting them to. At this rate I'll probably have to accept that my writing just isn't going to ever pay my bills, but each and every one of you has helped me hold on as long as I have.
