Babies, I’ll be in Berlin from August 17th to August 20th, and I’m very excited to be returning to one of the most iconic cities in Europe. 🇩🇪❤️

This will only be my second time in Berlin, but the city has always fascinated me—not only because of its history, architecture, art and incredible creative energy, but especially because of its importance to LGBTQ+ culture and history.

Berlin has long been a place where people have been able to challenge conventions, express themselves freely and create their own communities. From the legendary queer culture of the early 20th century to the city's modern LGBTQ+ nightlife and creative scene, there is something incredibly powerful about its relationship with identity, sexuality and self-expression.

My first visit was last year, and I barely had time to experience any of that. 😂

I had arranged photoshoots with six different models over one weekend, so most of my time was spent working. I loved every minute of it, but I basically saw Berlin through the windows of an Airbnb, a camera viewfinder and a taxi.

This time will be different.

I'll only be shooting for one day, which means I'll finally have some time to actually explore the city. I'm definitely planning to walk around, take pictures, discover some of its iconic spots and, hopefully, experience a little more of what makes Berlin so special.

To celebrate my return, here's a little recollection of some of the photographs I created during my first visit, all shot in the Airbnb room where I spent most of that weekend working. I hope I captured the spirit of Berlin!

Babies, estaré en Berlín del 17 al 20 de agosto, y estoy muy emocionado de regresar a una de las ciudades más icónicas de Europa. 🇩🇪❤️

Esta será apenas mi segunda vez en Berlín, pero la ciudad siempre me ha fascinado, no solamente por su historia, arquitectura, arte y enorme energía creativa, sino especialmente por su importancia dentro de la cultura y la historia LGBTQ+.

Berlín ha sido durante mucho tiempo un lugar donde las personas han podido desafiar las convenciones, expresarse con libertad y crear sus propias comunidades. Desde la legendaria cultura queer de principios del siglo XX hasta la escena LGBTQ+ y creativa actual, existe algo muy poderoso en la relación de Berlín con la identidad, la sexualidad y la autoexpresión.

Mi primera visita fue el año pasado y prácticamente no tuve tiempo de experimentar nada de eso. 😂

Había organizado sesiones de fotos con seis modelos diferentes durante un solo fin de semana, así que la mayor parte de mi tiempo la pasé trabajando. Disfruté muchísimo, pero básicamente conocí Berlín desde las ventanas de un Airbnb, el visor de mi cámara y un taxi.

Esta vez será diferente.

Solo estaré fotografiando durante un día, así que finalmente tendré tiempo para explorar la ciudad. Quiero caminar, hacer fotografías, descubrir algunos de sus lugares más icónicos y, con suerte, experimentar un poco más de todo aquello que hace que Berlín sea tan especial.

Para celebrar mi regreso, aquí les dejo una pequeña recopilación de algunas de las fotografías que hice durante mi primera visita, todas realizadas en la habitación del Airbnb donde pasé gran parte de aquel fin de semana trabajando. Espero haber captado el espíritu de la Berlín.
