When I put together a Cover Story, not every photograph from the shoot makes it into the final selection. Especially with a prolific photoshoot like this one with Andi, there are always plenty of images that I absolutely love but that simply don’t fit into the final story.

These particular photographs were taken in the bedroom, and I really love the warm, intimate and cinematic vibe they have. The combination of the white sheets, dramatic shadows, warm light and dark surroundings creates a very sensual atmosphere, while Andi's poses range from relaxed and intimate to more sculptural and editorial. Some feel almost like quiet moments captured between poses, while others have a much stronger visual impact.

I think they are beautiful photographs. They just didn't make the final cut because I preferred other images for the Cover Story and wanted the final selection to feel more cohesive as a whole.

And this is exactly why I like keeping some of these photographs aside. Instead of letting them disappear into my archives, I can come back to them later and share them with you — including with TIERRA members.

Cuando preparo una Cover Story, no todas las fotografías de la sesión terminan formando parte de la selección final. Especialmente en una sesión tan productiva como esta con Andi, siempre hay muchas imágenes que me encantan pero que simplemente no encajan en la historia definitiva.

Estas fotografías en particular fueron tomadas en el dormitorio y me encanta el ambiente cálido, íntimo y cinematográfico que tienen. La combinación de las sábanas blancas, las sombras dramáticas, la luz cálida y el entorno oscuro crea una atmósfera muy sensual, mientras que las poses de Andi van desde momentos más relajados e íntimos hasta composiciones más escultóricas y editoriales. Algunas parecen casi momentos tranquilos capturados entre poses, mientras que otras tienen un impacto visual mucho más fuerte.

Creo que son fotografías preciosas. Simplemente no entraron en la selección final porque preferí otras imágenes para la Cover Story y quería que el conjunto tuviera una mayor cohesión visual.

Y precisamente por eso me gusta guardar algunas de estas fotografías. En lugar de dejarlas olvidadas en mis archivos, puedo volver a ellas más adelante y compartirlas con vosotros — también con los miembros de TIERRA.
