The bracers of defense add +2 to AC if you’re not wearing any armor, very useful for monks and barbarians.

About halfway through the video, but here are a few things. 1. Fjord wasn't with the group when they were at Pu Mat's. 2. Cali was a half elf (race), but draconic sorcerer (class), not a dragonborn (race). Dragonborn are fully scaled and basically look like human-size bipedal dragons, where-as Cali looked like a half-elf with some scales/claws.

The thing about spell components that require a gold value, like 10 gold worth of incense for the spell Find Familiar, is that if you haggle down the price from 10 to 8 gold for example, some DMs will then say that you don't have 10 gold worth of incense. Matt is generally good about that but it's up to the DM.
