Thanks for the reaction. This was a good episode. This was another episode where our guy, JJ got the short end of the stick. In a previous episode, we saw his dad rough him up, but this time, seeing his dad brutally attack him like he did was rough. I think his friends knew his dad was abusive, but JJ seemed to always downplay it, so they probably just let it go and never said anything. So, I think for them, seeing him messed up and broken like he was kind of really hit home for them. For JJ, it was one of those realization moments where he is thinking he doesn't have any family, just his friends. Buying the hot tub was almost like saying his friends are more important than any amount of money. He put the hot tub at John B’s place, which is their hangout. I think JJ going to Barry’s house and stealing his money is not really all that surprising or out of character though. I don’t actually agree with what he did, and I wouldn't do it, but it’s not the only dumb thing he has done. He said he wasn’t afraid of Barry, so I guess it’s okay. It’s JJ! I do get the impression that Barry probably grew up in that town so people know him indirectly and are not really afraid of him even though they know he is the local drug dealer. It also seems like maybe he is new to drug dealing and is a one man show. Also could be why he is still running a pawn shop. Rafe at the moment seems the most unstable to me. Now that he has been kicked out of the house, I see him getting worst than he was before. I want to send out a quick shout out to Rose Cameron, the mom. She literally went to Ward and told him that she wanted to buy the Crain estate (the old woman from last episode) - the place where the gold is and Ward was like, I don’t have time to look at that right now because I am looking for the gold! Uh, okay? Looking forward to the next episode. Looks like Ward has lost his mind. I am pretty sure killing John B is not going to be a good idea even if he thinks he can get away with this.
