Hello, I’m very new and I don’t know where to start. What is the program that you use to draw? Thank you.

Julia Dreams

Hello! Thanks for joining my Patreon page. I use Procreate program. This program is available for purchase from App Store. I also use my watercolor brushes, which you can purchase here in the store or at my Etsy store using a 60% off coupon. Let me know if you have any questions.

Is there another tutorial to follow after this one?

Where can I find this 'First Brush'? Is it in the Wet Watercolor Brushset?

Julia Dreams

In all my tutorials I use the Realistic Watercolor Brushes collection and this brush is included in that collection.

Hello! My first brush when i press hard goes very patchy, do you think i need to change ant settings in procreate?

Julia Dreams

Usually the brushes don't need to be customized and they should appear as in my video. Please check if you are using the canvas that is included in the brush collection. Only with this canvas the brushes have a realistic watercolor look. Unfortunately it is not possible to attach images to messages here, but you can send me a screenshot on Instagram and I will check if everything works correctly. And I will be happy to help! ✨

a lot of your tutorials say use air brush, l don't have that

Julia Dreams

This is the third brush in the Realistic Watercolor Brushes collection. 😊

Hi Julia! I would like to ask you, what are the main differences between the “Julia dreams - wet watercolor base” and the “Julia dreams first brush” I’m struggling with those two 🫣 not sure which one is better to start a project! Thank you ♥️

Julia Dreams

Hi Ana! I created these brushes for two different collections, they differ slightly in texture and shape of the brush. If you are using canvas and brushes from the Realistic Watercolor collection, it is better to use the First Brush. If you are using brushes and canvas from Wet Watercolor, it is better to use Wet Watercolor Base, as the brushes go well with the canvas that is included. But you can also mix these brushes between collections. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you. Julia.

Hi Julia! I noticed you're using the blending brushes straight from the brush tool instead of the smudge tool, is that because the brushes are made specifically for the brush tool instead of the other? I saw this technique in another creator's video as well, but nowhere else. I was wondering if you use the smudge tool at all with other types of brushes? I really like the fact that I don't have to switch between the 2 tools to blend stuff:)

Julia Dreams

Hello! ☺️ Yes, I configured this brush specifically for color blending, so it works best when used within the brush tool itself. In contrast, the Smudge Tool tends to push the color around and produces a rougher blend, whereas blending with this brush creates a softer effect, much like mixing actual paint.

Thank you!
