Dear Friends,

Should we make a post with a walkthrough in which we detail the best ways to do quests and unlock all of the gallery scenes?

At the games current state a walk-through is completely unnecessary. I'd maybe come back to the idea based on how complex it gets down the line

JimVC

So far the gameplay has been pretty straightforward - I don't see a need for a walkthrough right now

Plastic

It's probably worth having one and keep updating it as the game goes on, but have it out of the way so it's only there if people need it

I'd say it's a good idea because people who don't want it can just ignore it, and people who want to enjoy the game, but maybe have difficulty navigating an adventure style game like this can make their way through it. (Even the most straight forward game can be confusing to some people if they struggle with navigation of any kind)

Pretty simple answer. Yes definitely. If you think the walkthrough takes the fun out of the game there is an easy solution: don't use it.

My personal opinion is that the community should handle creating things like a walkthrough rather than the developers.

And the journal function is already a walk through isn't it? Always told me what to do when I was confused...

Let the game develop more and then we’ll see if we actually need one at this point especially with the journal we don’t need one

There isn’t really a downside to making a walkthrough, since, as others have pointed out, people who feel that this would ruin gameplay can simply not use it. On the other hand, the game is pretty linear currently, so a walkthrough doesn’t seem really necessary at this point. The moment I think a walkthrough becomes necessary is if it becomes possible to miss content. Whether this is because of quests where the player has to choose between two exclusive paths, or because one quest is introduced with a time limit (e.g. it must be completed within 3 days of receving it). If any quests of this nature are introduced to the game, I think it becomes a necessity to have a walkthrough, to ensure that players can reliably access any decision-dependent content they might be interested in seeing.

A walkthrough would eventually be nice, but I would rather wait for the game to become more finished before setting away time to work on it.

I'm actually more interested in just a "help" type thing that explains the stats a little more thoroughly.
