Here's one possible variant of the progression of events surrounding the elf's mother, which will appear in a future update. The elf's mother will still die, but in this case the elf will learn the truth and the hunter's conscience will be clear.

I have to support this idea. In every other way, the best results are with the hunter acting in Truth, Kindness, and placing himself in harm’s way on the behalf of others. This is the one thing that would continually weigh on his conscience, and with Elain, arguably his closest personal relationship. Yes, in small ways, he is capable of deceit, but never in matters of “life and death.”

I was expecting Hunter bringing her to the town and dying after meeting and saying goodbye to each other. This one is a good alternative.

Eh, I'd say be true to your writing rather than changing things to fit the fluid and varied wants of the audience. Retconning ruins storytelling. And using simple hero archetypes ruins immersion even if it conflicts with escapism. But eh, that's my writing philosophy 2 cents.

This is the preferable option. It was a bit upsetting that you could never admit to her what happened. But giving an option where everyone lives happy just fundamentally changes the story being told that requires massive rewrites of the entire game. This is the best outcome possible while still maintaining the original intended narrative.

I really appreciate you adding this to your game however I do want to That's the very least I loved your story even if I was very sad about having to lie to my elf friend keep up the great work
