Newsletter: Issue #1 (Patreon)

It’s my first time using this Newsletter format, so let’s see how things roll out; I can always go back to how I used to do things on here.

So, despite it being halfway through the month, welcome to June, I’m back!   Sorry for nothing more extravagant but I’ve been busy.  Though at least I had time to do this thank you image!  (oh, and a certain rabbit 🐰).

Not to mention from earlier in the month, the Kusunoki mini-comic, and my polls, one about whether I should convert to the new page format (so far, it seems to be 60% no, correct at the time of posting this Monday morning) and whether I should do more mini-comics.  Have you voted yet?

The new page format poll closes at the end of this month, but the mini-comic one closes on Wednesday 17th.  Seems unanimous so far. Understandably, mini-comics do take a bit of time to create, so there won’t be as many one-off images; I’m not as spry as I used to be. I’ll do what I can.

Still, as I elaborated to a friend the other day, I do like these mini-comics because they allow me to exercise that part of the brain I developed during my Bachelor of Arts in Illustration days (that’s university).  Typography and lay-out and composition and stuff; but you may have already gathered that from the many pages of my comics, or announcement illustrations I post here.

I have to attend a funeral the tail end of this week, and as luck would have it, the heat wave returns.  Next month is also my annual car test to see if it’s still road-worthy… ulp. 😓

So it’ll be certainly a period-of-time… and a fair bit to do on here.  I’ll do my best.

And, err, that’s it.  If anything major develops, I’ll let you know either via a post, or I’ll drop a message in the Chat.  Nothing else comes to mind at the moment, so I’ll sign off and get on with fulfilling my obligations to you.
