Comic #904: The Sims (Patreon)

I was originally planning to make this comic last week before a new idea came to me. I didn't initially decide to do this comic because I couldn't think of a punchline. I was basically stuck at panel #5 and couldn't decide on how to resolve it.

I kept trying to come up with a solution to Keydar's paradox and couldn't. In the end the idea of Nyte and Keydar both agreeing the sims were completely meaningless and yet still being obsessed with them made for a funny paradox.

Another issue I struggled with on this comic was having them discuss top specs without actively naming any of them. I didn't want discussions about the comic to inevitably devolve into arguing about which specs are the best/worst, so I left it ambiguous.

When I initially made the comic idea, Keydar and Nyte only discussed the best spec and the worst spec. I eventually added a part about the middle spec, because I liked the idea of Keydar having all the arguments but no actual solution. It makes his entirely point kind of lose credibility.

Because of that, originally Nyte suggested the best spec, which Keydar refuted, then she suggested the worst spec, and then finally the middle spec. I realized it would make more sense for Nyte to suggest the middle spec second, so I changed it to the order you see now.
