Comic #123: Buffly! (Patreon)

Poor Narya.

This is a reminder that Narya and Nyte were married in real life, and for a time were married in the comic. This part of the storyline being the main reason their marriage ran unmentioned for nearly 800 comics.

Part of what I liked about this comic was how Narya being forced to explain the plot just made him sound like a sociopath. Really says a lot about my plot points.

I remember that I specifically picked a dwarf to play the role of the guard because both Narya and Nyte were tiny, and using a human would have created too much space in the frame. Nowadays because I rarely show the entire character within a frame, it can actually be helpful to have characters of different statures because it helps to make space for the dialogue.

This was one of those odd storylines I used to have that were told sporadically over the course of many months. This particular storyline started with #96 for the Quest Chain arc, and then lead to Nyte remaining a baby, which led to Narya being jailed, which led to his escape arc.
