Man it's been so long since I read this that I actually chuckled at my own punchline.

You know, I rag on my old comics a lot but the blocking on this one is actually pretty good! I like how I placed Keydar, Miji and Krom overlapping one-another with slight height differences so that their faces can be clearly visible. I only wish the background were maybe a little more desaturated to help the characters pop.

Speaking of the background... The background in the original file is a single flattened image (meaning there are not multiple layers showing the inking, coloring, shading, etc). This leads me to believe it was not the first time I made this background, and was just copying it over from another one of my comics. However, I cannot find this background being used in any earlier comics whatsoever. This makes me think that perhaps my earlier backgrounds were just drawn and filled with color on single layers, which is INSANE to me. That may not seem like a big deal, but it makes editing the image later a big pain in the ass. Oh well.

The speech bubbles in these old comics and the font are still an eyesore for me though. That colored speech bubble "arrow" can be really hard to see depending on the background. Also, each bubble being an ellipse tends to leave a lot of wasted space or cropping of the dialogue.
