Comic #156: Mijikai, Shover of Kids (Patreon)

This is the start of the whole kid shoving theme of the comics. I think the first real kid shove was #132 (which I used for panel 4), but you all can correct me if you see an earlier one. I don't think #24 counts, that's a full on punch. Eventually this would become an arc with Narya's shove-powered machinery. I actually added "Shove" as a searchable tag in the comic archives, it should bring up most of the shove-related comics.

I find it funny that I clearly tried to use a bit of effort to have some different backgrounds in this comic to make it look like Miji is going around the world shoving kids, but apparently just gave up between panels 5 and 6. William should be in Stormwind, but I guess I already used that background for Anduin? Clearly the background behind the Human Orphan in panel 3 is just a color-adjusted and flipped duplicate of the background from panel 5 and 6, so I was capable of making minor adjustments, but just said "screw it" when I hit panel 5.

Also, panel 6 is a reference to the NPC Miiji in Shattrath. I had completely forgotten about her.

That does bring up an interesting thought I've had regarding possible comics references in game. Along with this item, I always wondered if they were actual references to the comics or just coincidences. The boots seem more likely to be an actual reference, but the Miiji girl in Shattrath was probably just coincidence. I guess I'll never know!

Have you guys noticed any other possible references in game? These are the only two that come to mind. Someone once did reach out to me and mention this mission that they thought was a reference to #554. But that always seemed like a stretch to me.
