Comic #161: Exercise Problem 3-27 (Patreon)

Oh, achievements. This comic was released less than a week after the wrath pre-patch when achievements were added to the game. I remember flying around Shattrath trying to get this specific achievement and dying at least once.

Can you tell I was into physics? I took physics classes my freshman year of college, but that would have been 2001-2002. I did eventually go back and take the physics series again at a community college for my job, but was that really in 2008? Man I feel old. It must have been because why else would I have been so specific with classical mechanics. I remember sitting down and working out the math and quadruple-checking it to not embarrass myself.

Did I put a texture on that cliff wall? Wow I was getting fancy.

I do wonder why I picked 3-27. Knowing myself, I rarely pick numbers just to pick them. I'm almost always trying to sneak in some joke. I probably opened my physics textbook and found an actual problem that was similar to the one in the comic and it happened to be chapter 3 problem 27. I looked online and the newest edition has "Motion in a Straight Line" as chapter two, not three. Damn, so close. Quick! Someone check an older edition of Young & Freedman University Physics and let me know!

I zoomed in on the achievement icon to see what I drew on the paper, and it looks like some force diagrams on one of those awful block attached to a block on a string problems. I hated those.
