Comic #193: And Dollars at Star Number! (Patreon)

This is one of my favorites. I remember being so proud of this joke when I came up with it. It's still a good setup and punchline. I think it works so well because you really don't see it coming. The "And Dollars at Star Number" coming from Donald helps because you're not expecting anything that comes out of his mouth to make any sense in the first place. So in the end when it's revealed it lands really nicely.

I remember the initial joke came from me wanting to do something with the language filter. I could easily see a much worse version of this comic where the setup and punchline are reversed. Imagine a comic where Krom swears in the first panel and Donald gets confused, then eventually goes on to say it out loud.

This one reminds me a bit of the much later #520, where donald uses the keyboard poorly.

Also, that goldclover would make a lovely toupee for Narya. That feels like a wasted opportunity. Also I feel like I should have had Donald swear like this in the future. Would have been a fun callback.
