Comic #205: Everybody Loves Marmalade (Patreon)

I drew Krom and Keydar sneaking, in STRIPES?! Man I was really committed to this one. I went in depth last commentary about how much I hated drawing stripes.

I do love Marmalade. I can't remember if Keydar saying "Everyone loves Marmalade" was a reflection of reality and how fans were responding to the character, or just a whim of mine. I do know that I really enjoyed making comics with Marmalade in them. Something about the combination of their look and how they seemed to have zero moral compass just tickled me.

Also, I absolutely love the first 4 panels. I look at it now and have zero recollection about what inspired me to make that joke because it's a perfect mixture of whimsy and randomness. I feel like those first 4 panels could have been a comic all by themselves.

I also love this panel:

Something about the placid expression mixed with the most horrific barbarism really works for me. That poor bunny. It also mirrors comic #33 really well, but in that case it was Keydar skinning Miji.
