You might notice that this comic is a slight departure style-wise from the rest of the comics so far. Up until this point I had drawn all the comics directly into the computer using a tablet. For this specific comic, I instead drew it first on paper, then scanned it into the computer, and then inked and colored it. The process took way too long and I never did it again. The only other times I drew on paper for my comic were the instances when I was on vacation and drew the comic on the go, such as #209.

As to the comic itself, this joke is based of a temporary bug that existed only in vanilla, and thus makes absolutely no sense to probably 90% of readers. Early on in vanilla there was a vanish bug where your animation from the waist up would freeze in the process of casting, and thus you would be stuck in a permanent vanish animation. In the case of most players that meant one hand up in the air.

I've been wondering about the Repair Bills thing. You've made jokes before about repair bills in excess of 500g. ... The thing is, last noght I was doing timewalking dungeons to try to speed my leveling to 120, and in the one dungeon we wiped so many times that every single piece of armor I had was red. Of course the more your armor gets damaged the quicker you get killed, so it's kind of a vicious circle. anyway, when I got back to repair, my bill was only 163g. I was just wondering if it was even possible to get a 500g repair bill, or if it's part of the gag that the number is so huge.

There was a time when repair cost scaled with item level, I don't know if that's still true. I have an add-on that auto repairs, so I haven't actually looked at a repair value in ages. Regardless, over the course of a long raid night, your gear is effectively breaking multiple times (though you repair before it gets to that point).
