I've been wanting to make a joke about picking and choosing quests that require the least amount of effort for a while now. The ideas never really worked out the way I wanted them to, however, and I kept scrapping them. I mentioned in the commentary a few comics back that I had a "genie" comic planned that I had abandoned. That comic was one of my attempts at this joke.

There was also a version where I was in my home in real life completing a series of home chore quests I didn't want to do, each of which was similar to an in game style of questing. I eventually went into the bedroom to slay a spider, and was excited to have a simple bounty chore for a change. I still kind of like that idea, and I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually came back in some form.

I'm proud of that joke in panel 4. Originally it was just some kind of "Slay the Enemies" quest, but I decided it would be more funny to give it a meta name like "Fill the Bar". Then I realized I could have it both ways if "Fill the Bar" actually made sense in the context of the quest.

Yep, captures the mood exactly about what quests people prefer!

I don't usually choose quests based on ease, but more on what I need from them. Ex: My Horde main needs better equipment, so I choose stuff that will get me 310+ gear.
