Comic #725: Corpse Camping (Patreon)

You may recall the initial idea for this one from last week's commentary:

Narya lamenting the fact that he's being griefed by "evil" horde while he's griefing some poor NPC as a matter of habit.

The original idea was going to have Narya complaining about being camped, and calling it "griefing", while he himself was griefing NPCs. In the end I couldn't think of a good way to make that comic without there being way too much exposition. And honestly, after trying to write it out, I found the premise more funny than the punchline.

The first panel of this comic is basically the premise, and I really liked the imagery. Plus it felt like a direct continuation from last week's comic. Add Max, and you feel that even more, with him being used only a few weeks ago.

This comic originally had 2 more panels at the start, which I removed LITERALLY before posting. Here is the original version:

I had added "Resurrect again, lol?" halfway through making the comic (it originally was going to say "Resurrect now?"), and did not realize until finishing that it made the first two panels completely unnecessary. It was a tough decision, but ultimately, I felt the new first panel was a far stronger and funnier starting panel for the comic than the original two.

Edit: I have updated the original image to include a resurrection sickness buff over Narya in panel 2 to make it more clear that he took a spirit rez.
