Comic #756: Revendreth (Patreon)

For those of my readers that no longer play, one of the new zones, Revendreth, has a form of carriage taxi service that circles the roads of the zone. If you are caught in their path you are knocked over and stunned. I'm embarrassed to say how many times I've been run over.

The second panel is a bit of a callback to the final panel of comic #554. It seems that across expansions, there is no shortage of creepy weirdo NPCs.

I did consider animating the final panel, but ultimately it proved way too challenging for me. I would have had to animate the entire carriage, including horses and driver, and have it repeatedly run over Narya.

Looks fine the way it is. Revendreth was fun. Maldraxxus was so full of bones my questing partner refused to do any side quests there. Couldn't wait to get out.

Heh. I quit after the BfA beta, back now and finally doing BfA. In a few months I'm sure I'll get to this! Could you have done a panel of just his head gettin stomped on and rolled over - THEN gone to the final panal?

I was immediately reminded of the crack elves and their foot wine! I am still salty they joined the Horde after I spent so much time growing a crack tree and making foot wine for them. Incidentally, while I've also gotten run over by the carriages on multiple occasions, I didn't realise you could actually use them for transportation until I saw a clip of someone doing just that to get out of a spicy situation. I thought they were literally just there for atmosphere and to annoy us.
