Comic #818: New Class (Patreon)

The joke here is that over the course of the game's history, new classes have been almost entirely Melee dps with tank specs. So the melee guildies are enjoying the reversal.

I was pretty nervous about my ability to animate that final panel. I was worried I would have to make it a still frame if I couldn't pull it off, but it worked out in the end.

I created frames for each of the three characters separately. Nyte's animation is 24 frames long, while Miji's is 10. I was stupid in that I didn't make Miji's animation 12 frames. This would have allowed me to have him cleanly go through 2 loops. Instead I had 4 extra frames to deal with, which is why he does a brief "backwards" spin in his animation. Krom's animation is only 3 frames, so that worked fine.

The headlines on the left side of the newspaper are not really visible, which is fine because they weren't particularly new or interesting jokes, but this is what they are:

"Dozens of players flock back in anticipation of new content"

"Lion Pride inn to invest in heat lamps to draw in new clientele"
