Comic #880: Ready Check (Patreon)

I put a lot of effort into that fourth panel trying to make Keydar look as outraged as possible. I think in the end it may just look more like disgust.

I struggled at first about whether or not to have this comic be from Keydar or Krom's perspective. For example, Krom could have been clicking the ready check button, then doing a countdown, etc. The final panel would have been the same. I think both could have worked, but in the end I think seeing it from Keydar's perspective made it more clear that Keydar's an idiot.

I initially had Keydar explaining why he was not ready in the final panel. Ie: "I'm still fixing my talents!" or something like that. In the end I realized that the reason was not necessary, and only helped to muddy the punchline.

The final panel is a bit of a callback to #790.
