Straight!? v0.15 Patreon Build Release! (Patreon)

Yo,

So here you guys go, the newest Patreon build of the game. The biggest, longest, and most intense update we've ever done. While, we don't clock hours, I'd estimate we've easily got over 600 man-hours into this build and I think we're all happy with how it turned out. It took a long time (over 2 months for this one) but it's probably big enough to be considered a double update so we feel it evens out. I'm going to again ask that you don't share this or post it publicly because that significantly stunts our ability to make future content. The last time I asked this, people actually complied and we really appreciated it, allowing us to expand the dev team and add animation and custom scenery in the future. Don't worry, we'll release it for free in 3 weeks then you can share it freely.

Change Log v0.15

-Finished Chapter 7: Deeper

-Fixed "Embarrassing Story" text color

-Braden bent over CG (you know what one I'm talking about) was redone to make his starfish less frightening

-finished the CG reduction on the dorm room folder, reducing overall game file size by another 240MB (not huge but it helps)

Reflections

Saying we're tired  is an understatement. I want to thank everyone for the patience on behalf of the team over here. I know this one has taken longer than normal but hopefully this one will speak for itself. For those of you that have stuck with us over the past couple months, thank you.  It's definitely the most involved update we've ever done and arguably the most eclectic: it's long, it's got new content, new attempts at animations, it's funny, it's deep, there's bonding, there's more choices, some closure, and definitely skin. It has a little of something for everyone, I think and it has an appropriate conclusion for the chapter Deeper.

This is also the first update we've released as a newly expanded team, allowing us to try new things while identifying areas for improvement and efficiency. Usually, I try and post more thoughts but TBH, I'm just worn out after this one. I'm happy with it and think it's consistent with the previous updates and what you've come to expect--maybe even a bit more. It's time to scoot the chair back from the table and for us to share it with the masses.
