First Look: Revamped Ash Before/After (Patreon)

So I don't really show my works-in-progress(wip) very often but I wanted to take some time to share this one. 

Today on the Discord, I asked the Patreon's to vote on what they wanted to see 1) Ash's new model changes for the Revamp, or 2) The next few pics in the Without Fire set. Personally, I've been wanting to share this Ash design for about a week now and luckily the Discord was curious about it so here's my early mock up plan for Revamped Ash.

Like many of the other characters, Ash is getting a glow-up in the Revamp but it was important to me to not really change him. Now, I put the word "change" in italics there because, while there are some changes to his model, I don't want these characters to look entirely different. Many of us have fallen in love with these characters during the first playthrough and it's important to me to not change that in the Revamp-- especially a character like Ash, who ended up stealing the show as a fan favorite.

So far, we've already seen a few minor changes to the other models: Zack's eye color was finalized and Braden also has a new set of more realistic and expressive eyes. Last update, we got to see a shirtless Mikhail for the first time, which was an opportunity to show off the tattoo changes, which was incredibly necessary for both Mikhail and his nipple. 

So in Revamp v10, we'll see Ash for the (second time-- eagle-eye viewers may have already seen him in the early parts of the Revamp), but he will make his official entrance in v10. Thus, I've spent some time ahead of this update working on his model. 

Revamp Ash comes with an entirely new skin texture. This skin is slightly more tanned than his old skin, which looked very pale ( I was ok with pale but this skin texture is updated and just looks more life-like). We also need to briefly talk about Ash's  *genitals. The old model had some weird textures on his junk that I wasn't a fan of but it was just something that I had to tolerate. I'm not opposed to characters having blemishes but this one looked more like a 3D mistake than it did something natural to the character-- which is a problem. This was one of the primary reasons that caused me to update his model (junk and eyes were my main focus). But the new model fixes the genitals problem and things just look way smoother than they did before.

Ash also has completely updated eyes that are way more expressive and more life-like than his original eyes. There's also some fun freckles and other realistic marks on his skin that just add more depth to him. Previous Ash looked very hollow and his updated version, I think, captures more of him.  Hopefully, this update version still walks that early asshole look but there's still warmth that we'll see later.

However, I'll admit to being a bit nervous about the character update because many of you are so protective of this chaotic little guy-- hell, I'm protective of him. So let me know what you think and if I have your blessing. I like this update-- in fact i love it so I hope you do, too.
